Dyke Hard makes a comeback to the club front after a six month break! Next club will be arranged on Helsinki's Pride week Thursday September 10th 2020, outside of the official Pride program.
We start at the terrace at 6 PM until 10 PM with easier Chill Hard atmosphere and the club continues downstairs in the club with Dyke Hard's familiar music line for the rest of the evening from 10 PM to 01.30 AM.
The night's theme is rave! Dress colourfully, was your interpretion 90s rave or nu rave. Facemasks are part of rave culture, so there is no better time for this party!
Banging guest DJ in club downstairs (”ruuma”) is DJ KMKΛZE, who's set offers techno fast/acid/rave-sound. Hard-trance and early-hardstyle influences are also present.
Dyke Hard house DJs DJ Witchpill and DJ D'LASSO are also playing.
DJ Witchpill is a familiar sight on Helsinki's queer clubs and roller derby matches DJ as DJ Selina Kyle. Kyle plays club music with a queer twist, but under Dyke Hard, the consept created by her, she can play harder electronic music with no limitations.
DJ D’LASSO, previously London-based techno artist is a part of Dyke Hard with a new, fresh and harder sound tailor-made for Dyke Hard, mixed with blend of hard techno, breakbeat, psychtrance, hard dance. D’LASSO has worked at major underground clubs in London like Trade, Ministry of Sound, Fabric, Barcode, Smarties Party, Fire and many more. He championed LGBT+ friendly DJs during his 8-year long residency at Thirst Bar Soho (previously Candy Bar) in London UK. He played alongside Jo Mills (DC-10, Amnesia Ibiza), Natalie Coleman (Mooch), Kath Harding (Wish), Slamma (Candy Bar) and Lisa Brandon Block, Little Andy (Thirst Bar, 68 & Boston) and Nick Holloway, Steve Thomas (Trade), Fat Tony (Orange), Malcolm Duffy, (Trade, Fiction).
Dyke Hard is an underground lesbian and queer club, founded beginning of 2014. Electro, rock, rap, dubstep, techno, queercore, riot grrrl, punk and industrial play all night until the break of dawn. No mercy, but sweat, dancing and hard love!
Tickets: 5 € (terrace and downstairs club). When at the terrace you can keep your jacket, only if you have bags with own drinks they must be checked in. If you go to the club, then you should leave your coat to the wardrobe, cost 3€.
Come regardless of gender and identity! We apply the rules of safer space, in other words everyone at our club should be able to be themselves and feel secure. You will engage to these rules when you enter the club. If you face rude behaviour from someone, report to Merikerho staff or us behind the DJ decks. Merikerho is in general a safe space.
Merikerho’s terrace capacity is 280 persons, but to the club dance floor we take less than 200 customers than usual to maintain safer settings during the Corona Epidemic. Total intake of people is keeping in mind that customers need to have a seat and a table or a counter space.

We are constantly following the coronavirus situation and how it progresses. At the club, we follow Merikerho's coronavirus guidelines. We ask every single guest to read these guidelines through. Like for example, cash is not accepted at the club at all. Merikerho guidelines:

Merikerho club and terrace wish to improve safety of restaurant visitors by implementing measures for the duration of the virus threat. We will improve these practices based on customer feedback and official guidelines that may emerge.
X If you have any flu or COVID19 symptoms, stay home.
X If you have visited yellow or red zone countries within the last 2 weeks, don't come to the venue.
X Only card & smart device payments, no cash accepted.
X Disinfect your hands at the entrance.
X Take a seat first, then go to order.
X Mind your distance to those not in your group in all queues, tables and while dancing. We recommend dancing near your seat. If you dance on the dance floor, be mindful to keep distance to those not in your group.
X Do not return empty glasses to the bars. Our runner staff picks them up using gloves. Our staff uses different gloves to serve you fresh drinks.
X You are most welcome to wear a mask especially if you choose to dance among people not in your group.
With these actions we cannot stop the virus from spreading, as it can also spread via persons who do not show visible symptoms, but they reduce the risk. We apologize if you find these actions negative or too strong, and we ask for your understandnig for the inconvenience they may cause.

Dyke Hard tekee paluun klubirintamalle puolen vuoden tauon jälkeen! Seuraava klubi järjestetään Helsingin Pride-viikon torstaina 10.9.2020 Merikerholla Priden virallisen ohjelman ulkopuolella. Aloitame illan terassilla 18–22 musiikillisesti astetta keveämmissä Chill Hard merkeissä ja klubi jatkuu Dyke Hardin vakkarimusalinjalla klubin puolella loppuillan klo. 22-01.30.
Illan teemana on reivit! Pukeudu värikkäästi, oli sitten tulkintasi ysärireivi tai nu rave. Kasvomaskit kuuluvat reivikulttuuriin joten parempaa ajankohtaa näille bileille ei ole! Klubin puolella illan vierailevana DJ:nä kovaa tykitystä tarjoilee DJ KMKΛZE, joka setissä kuullaan tekno fast/acid/rave-soundia. Hard-trance sekä early-hardstyle vaikutteet ovat myös läsnä.

DJ Witchpill on tuttu näky Helsingin queerklubien ja roller derby matsien DJ:nä nimellä DJ Selina Kyle. Witchpill soittaa klubimusiikkia queer-elementillä, mutta luomassaan Dyke Hard konseptissa pääsee revittelemään rankemman elektronisen musiikin parissa ilman rajoituksia.
Ennen Lontoossa vaikuttanut teknoartisti DJ D’LASSO liittyi Dyke Hardin vakkarideejiitiimiin uudella, raikkaalla ja rankemmalla soundilla joka on räätälöity juuri tätä klubia varten. Seteissä soi mm. hard tekno, breakbeat, psychtrance ja hard dance.
D’LASSO on soittanut Lontoon isoimmilla underground klubeilla kuten Trade, Ministry of Sound, Fabric, Barcode, Smarties Party ja Fire. Hän otti siipiensä suojaan LGBT+ ystävällisiä Djtä kahdeksan vuoden pituisen pestinsä aikana Lontoon Thirst Bar Sohossa (entinen Candy Bar). DJ-uransa aikana hän on myös soittanut Jo Millsin (DC-10, Amnesia Ibiza), Natalie Colemanin (Mooch), Kath Hardingin (Wish), Slamman (Candy Bar) sekä Lisa Brandon Blockin, Little Andyn (Thirst Bar, 68 & Boston), Nick Hollowayn, Steve Thomasin (Trade), Fat Tonyn (Orange) ja Malcolm Duffyn rinnalla (Trade, Fiction).
Dyke Hard on vuoden 2014 alussa perustettu underground lesbo- ja queerklubi. Elektro, rock, rap, dubstep, tekno, queercore, riot grrrl, punk ja industrial soivat koko illan aamuvalkeaan saakka. Ei armoa, vaan hikeä, tanssimista ja kovaa rakkautta!
Liput: 5 € (sisältää pääsyn terassille sekä klubille). Terassilla ollessa ei tarvitse narikkaa, ellei sinulla ole laukkua, mikä sisältää alkoholijuomia, se on laitettava narikkaan. Klubille mentäessä tulee takki ja muut kuin pienet käsilaukut jättää narikkaan, mikä maksaa 3€.
Tule paikalle sukupuolesta tai identiteetistä riippumatta! Noudatamme turvallisemman tilan sääntöjä, toisin sanoen klubillamme jokaisen pitäisi pystyä olemaan oma itsensä ja tuntemaan olonsa turvalliseksi. Sitoudut tähän tulemalla klubille. Jos kohtaat epäasiallista käytöstä/kohtelua, kerro siitä Merikerhon henkilökunnalle/meille DJ-pöytien takana. Merikerho on lähtökohtaisesti turvallisen tilan ravintola.

Seuraamme koronavirustilanteen kehittymistä. Klubilla noudatetaan Merikerhon koronavirusohjeistusta. Pyydämme jokaista vierasta lukemaan ohjeistuksen läpi. Mm. käteinen ei käy klubilla ollenkaan maksuvälineenä. Merikerhon ohjeistus:

X Desinfioi kätesi kun saavut ravintolaan. Tätä varten on tarjolla desinfiointiainetta.
X Ota ensin istuinpaikka ja mene vasta sen jälkeen jonoon.
X Pidä huolta turvallisista etäisyyksistä ihmisiin, ketkä eivät kuulu sinun ryhmääsi. Tämä koskee jonoja, pöydissä oloa ja tanssimista. Me suosittelemme tanssimista istuinpaikkojen yhteydessä. Tanssilattiallla etäisyyksistä tulee huolehtia niihin, ketkä eivät kuulu ryhmääsi.
X Älä palauta tyhjiä laseja baaritiskille. Meidän plokkarimme poimivat lasit käyttäen vinyylihansikkaita. Henkilökunta, kuka tarjoilee sinulle, käyttää eri hansikkaita ja saat näin varmasti puhtaan ja raikkaan juoman.
X Asiakkaat voivat halutessaan käyttää maskia. Se on erityisen suositeltavaa jos tanssit sellaisten asiakkaiden kanssa, ketkä eivät kuulu ryhmääsi.
Nämä toimenpiteet eivät estä virusta leviämästä, koska viruksen voi tuoda myös oireeton henkilö. Toimenpiteet kuitenkin vähentävät tartuntariskiä. Pahoittelemme, jos näistä toimenpiteistä koituu sinulle haittaa, mutta niiden takana on tahtotila luoda mahdollisimman turvallinen asiakaskokemus.
