Selidos [Berg Audio, Howl Records]
Born and raised in Turku, Finland, the DJ/Producer and part-time candy officer Selidos is one of the most promising exports Finland has to offer. Currently residing in Breda, Netherlands, Selidos has also taken the role of a curator within the local clubbing scene with his monthly club night ‘Project Room’ in Club Spock Breda.
His DJ sets are a sophisticated combination of stripped back grooves and raw emotions, unfolding in a hypnotic blend of sonic makeup. The same goes with his own productions where he holds contagious rhythms, inimitable bleeps and dreamy ambiences as core elements to his sound. With releases on Berg Audio, Nerang Recordings, XLR8R, WhenWeDip, Sleazy G and his indie bandcamp releases amongst others, more and more original music is on its way.
Being one of the most regular faces in the undercurrent scene of Turku, as well as sporadic appearances in the DJ-booths of Helsinki, Tallinn, Breda, Eindhoven, Amsterdam and more, Selidos has plenty of exciting news to share. Forthcoming releases on Howl Records, Dirty Hands Records, Standalone Records and Berg Audio are promised to see the daylight soon.
