ANDREAS REIHSE (DE) live

The opening night of Metakino #2 will feature a live set by one of this edition's international guests, Berlin-based musician and artist Andreas Reihse. Best known as a founding member of the long-running electronic/post-rock band Kreidler, Reihse has released several club-oriented solo releases on labels such as Italic and m=minimal and has DJ'd and/or performed at, among other places, ://about blank, ACUD, basso, Berghain, Tresor, etc. He also composes music for films, plays, performances and installations and works with moving images as a filmmaker as well as curator at Image Movement (Berlin) where he organizes Moves, a series of performances, screenings and talks. At the Metakino opening Andreas will play a live electronic set accompanied by his own video work; on the day after he will be present for a Q&A after the screening of Heinz Emigholz's film made with Kreidler, 2+2=22 [THE ALPHABET] (2017).
The opening night will begin at 20:15 with a screening of Romuald Karmakar's recent documentary DENK ICH AN DEUTSCHLAND IN DER NACHT (2017), featuring Ricardo Villalobos, David Moufang, Roman Flügel, Sonja Moonear and Ata Macias (see comments for trailer).
