Electro swing on tällä vuosikymmenellä tunnetuksi tullut uusi ja innovatiivinen musiikkityyli, joka - kuten nimikin kertoo - on swingin kultakauden ja nykyisen elektronisen tanssimusiikin kombinaatio. Swing oli yksi ensimmäisiä kelvollisesti äänitettyjä musiikkityylejä, ja nykyään useat moderneimpien tyylien parissa työskentelevät artistit ammentavat siitä inspiraationsa. Electro swing miksaa niin vanhaa kuin toisinaan uudempaakin swingiä ja jazzia house- ja hiphop-biitteihin\; rakentaen modernin ja tanssilattiafokusoituneen, nykykuulijoille helpommin omaksuttavan, mutta myös varhaisten swingien ja torvien energisen jännityksen säilyttävän soundin.

This decade a new, innovative style of music has emerged known as ‘Electro Swing’. As the name suggests, this style is combination of electronic dance music and the swing from the golden era. Swing music was one of the earliest styles to be properly recorded, and it now seems that artists working within some of the most modern styles of music are turning to this genre for inspiration. Electro swing combines the influence of vintage or modern swing and jazz mixed with house and hip hop beats. When done properly this style creates a modern and dancefloor focused sound that is accessible for the contemporary listeners while also retains the energetic excitement of live brass and early swing recordings.
