Acid, House and Techno changed the landscape of the German music scene ever since the end of the eighties. Ramon Zenker (born 1968) and Oliver Bondzio (born 1967) were ahead of this new movement right from the start. In 1991 they formed Hardfloor and had their first releases on Sven Väth's cult status labels Eye Q and Harthouse. After 12 years of successful partnership with Harthouse, Hardfloor decided to release music on their own independent label HRDFLR. Many of their releases are considered as milestones in Acid and Techno culture.
Hardfloor is also well-known from their remix work for international pop acts like Depeche Mode, Mike Oldfield, New Order, Human League, Mory Kante and Anne Clark, as well as more underground style techno acts like Robert Armani, Secret Cinema, A Guy Called Gerald or the Rising High Collective.
