Disprove
Italian producer Disprove is relatively fresh in the Bass scene and yet has already managed to establish a healthy respect amongst his peers. His releases to date include some stunningly well-crafted DnB and Neuro-hop on 2 of America’s best labels, Caliber and Ammunition, alongside releases on the heavyweight labels Inspected, ‘Renegade Hardware (in collaboration with Maztek) and also a remix of Black Sun Empire & Noisia's track 'Hideous' on Blackout - Disprove is clearly an artist on an unstoppable trajectory. You can hear his tracks being played out by audiophiles such as Noisia, Audeka, Koan Sound, Skrillex and Maztek amongst others.
His thick and solid, yet complex minimalistic sound defines his style; with a microscopic focus in making each moment of his music pleasurable without relying on bewildering the listener with a barrage of components. Carefully balanced tracks that have undeniably heavy cores, regardless of the tempo; with finely distorted kick drums, clean and crispy mixdowns and super funky rhythms over layers of compressed sounds.
With several releases in the works, and his addition to the MethLab roster – 2015 will see Disprove making some serious moves.
Menticide
Menticide, originally from Pretoria, South Africa, discovered drum and bass at the age of 16.
In 2011 Menticide began dabbling in music production and at 19 he signed his first release a, four track EP – Intricate Noise, a combination of deep, dark yet minimal beats to the UK-based full-spectrum drum and bass label - Rogue Beatz.
Menticide continues to focus heavily on his production and has worked with a few local and international producers such as Downlowd Crew (PE), Cae (aka Demgone) (FIN), Dubsidia (SPN), Talabun (RUS) and Semantics (UK) to name a few.
Menticide has played some of the most prestigious drum and bass parties and festivals in the country, Pressure, Sirensound, Crater Gathering, Twilight, Science Frikshun, Addictshun and It Came From The Jungle to name a few, he has also worked with several international artists such as Ed-Solo, DLR and Koan Sound and has appear on several prominent national and International radio shows.
Menticide is in the process of creating an album with a mixture of drum and bass, and a few other genres, tied together by a singular mood and sound.
