Bringing todays most exciting tech orientated artists to the city through a series of parties combining vision, touch and the sexual pulse of minimal to maximal dance floor techno. LUIGI MADONNA
Since 2008 Luigi has been releasing his thriving sound on influential labels such as, Material Series, Adam Beyer’s Drumcode and Richie Hawtin and John Aquaviva’s Plus 8. Each of his tracks show a dynamic passion for music and takes in an endless search for new sounds away from the norm. Some of the most important releases in his career include the ‘Madonna EP’ released on the influential Loose Records in 2009 and then more recently EPs like ‘In the Box’ on Excentric Muzik , ‘Venus De Milo’ on Octopus, his latest works on Analytictrail, ‘New World’ with a remix from his mentor Joseph Capriati and the well received ‘Sensation EP’ on the hugely influential Plus 8 label. These have all helped stand Luigi apart from the crowd and showcased his constant search for experimental and unpredictable sounds.
DJs like Richie Hawtin, Pan Pot and Adam Beyer have all been known to chart or play Luigi’s precision cut techno weapons in the past. As a remixer, too, Luigi is much in demand having reworked for artists and labels including Trapez, Hidden, Analytictrail, Mauro Picotto, Markantonio, The Advent, Sasha Carassi, Spektre and has also appeared on a number of compilations such as, Best of Driving Forces, Looking Ahead on Octopus Records and Rekluse Gold Volume Two.
As for the future there will be more remixes and originals, as well as heavily increased world wide media coverage. An onslaught of requests left Luigi with hardly anytime to breath, with an ultra packed 2013 schedule, with guest slots on Dave Clarke’s White Noise Radio Show, Adam Beyer’s Drumcode show and Marco Bailey’s Elektronic Force podcast. Coming straight of the back of consecutive shows in America, Romania, France and Spain, Luigi Madonna lands in Helsinki, to steer the good ship Kontact into another dimension.
KAISER SOUZAI
Let us bring the sound of Berlin to you, as at Kontact we carve out the trippy baseline, sexy riffs and sultry rhythm in a pure Helsinki fashion, Kaiser Souzai are the infamoust German duo, Markus Kaiser and Alex Souzai, they are neither gangsters nor mafiosi, but their name does carry similar weight around Germany’s electronic club scene. With an impressive string of releases and several number 1 chart hits on the most important download stores such as Beatport among others, they have put themselves in the spotlight of the international dance scene. Their white label “Flesh” was a slow-burning hit and the massiv single for Rotor Records “Girl”, which samples a very famous song from ‘Pulp Fiction’, was destined to put them on the map in the rest of Europe and beyond. The release was positioned as #1 on the worlds leading download portal Beatport and was one of the summers big club tunes. With a string of releases and Beatport bestselling faves on Yellow Tail Rec like „Altomcumulus Floccus“, „Stratocumulus“ or „Cirrus“ , Kaiser Souzai cemented their reputation as leading producers in their genre. After two years of a productive break, Kaiser Souzai were back in January 2013, launching with the release of “Foggy” on notorious Cologne label Blu Fin / Yellow Tail. Further releases on BluFin followed propelled the artists to greater heights. The summer anthem “Bolero” was inspired by the mastermind Maurice Ravel with the guitar riff played by Markus Kaiser himself. Hot of a rip roaring tour of Australia, Kaiser Souzai take on their Kontact duties in a true Berlin style.
