Blue Hour Sounds is an Italy based music company.
Born in 2009, out of the intense and creative union between
two persons - two lovers, music seekers, dancers,
now passionately managing this label,
with the aim of creating an important point of reference
for both listeners and dancers.
Everything starts from a family, always increasing its skills!
We're focused on the quiet, meditative side of life
as well as the mainfloor dancing tunes.
is Pearce van der Merwe, born in South Africa, based in Italy at the moment.
Heavily influenced by groups like Pink Floyd, Ozric Tentacles, Led Zeppelin, Motorpsycho and Jethro Tull, he became interested in psytrance and electronica in 2000.
In 2004 the Peaking Goddess Collective was born (Ajja, Dymons, Master Margherita, DJ Gaspard and Flooting Grooves being the core members) which also resulted in individual collaborations as well as various configurations of these artists. These collaborations became the key to improving his own production skills, resulting in the creation of his own music.
The Flooting Grooves sound ranges from very chilled downtempo right up to more progressive beatz. Live performances are enhanced by the use of silver flute and computer fx. It is a fusion of live elements like flute, guitar and percussion , with a lot of ethnic-tribal influences, and electronica. The result s a melting pot of pleasurable psychedelia to groove the body and sooth the soul!
Mark discovered psytrance in late 2007 on the infamous London squat party scene.
Together with the help of some mind expanding experiences he discovered a whole new relationship with music and began to DJ and produce.
Having played at trance parties worldwide stretching as far as India, Indonesia and Australia and gaining a wealth of experience in the process,
he is now a regular DJ on the London scene as well as a party organizer and general busy bee.
Having built his studio recently he has spent many hours inside and is now ready to unleash his tracks and live set on the dancefloor. He will release his first tracks on Blue Hour Sounds very soon! Watch out!
Gido is the solo project of the Lithuanian Dj/Producer Adomas Juozapavicius.
He got involved into the psychedelic scene in 2001.
Adomas has been mixing for 5 years in many countries; he met many interesting people and got different views about sound and creation.
Some years later he got more and more interested in the productive side of music.
In 2006 Adomas and his friend Robin started the new project ‘Gaiana’ based in Holland.Everything about this project is still growing, submerged by an intense creativity process. After getting a bit more experienced, he built a project in his own style: Gido.
This project has a deep flowing sound with some underground touches, based on strong leads, liquid atmospheres, tribal and hypnotic percussions with clear structures and definitely pure positive psychedelic vibe.
The Gaiana project was formed by Adomas “Gido” and Robin “Bluestorm” in the spring of 2006. Born from the intention to infuse the music with the clear and fresh energy of lithuanian nature, and spread its message and open invitation to re-join the universal dance of life.
A gentle reminder for people to reconnect with the natural beauty which we are all a part of.. It surrounds us, nurtures us, yet also grows inside us and finds expression through us.
Over the next few years collaborations were sporadic, due to ever changing locations and available equipment because of travels, yet slowly we worked on and developed our sound. Testing the tracks on the dancefloors, slowly we polished and adjusted the sound into its current form. Influenced by the early goa sound, evolved by the contempary progessive and fullon sound, while still containing some of the deeper frequencies of the darker styles, we tried to create a full spectrum sound, bridging styles.
I got in love with the music since i was able to buy me some of the good old masterpieces from the eighties.
Always had a strong tendency in epic , and atmospheric music, that’s why i also wanted to feed my needs with listening for long to classical music.
Had the luck to live the entire life out from the cities, which helped me a lot in being strongly connected with the nature.
Books have always been part of my life, loving classical, fantasy and literature in general. Soo many to read, soo many to read again and again..
I share life with my wife Jasmin and our daughter Lea; they are the beauty and the key in my path, and we live high in the mountains, in the north-centre of Italy,
where we built the headquarter of the Blue Hour Sounds experience.
Concerning music I like be open to anything interesting.I got in love with the first chillout tunes that came to my ears, because they were feeding really good my needs of thinking and pleasing the inner spirit.
Definitely had some dance experiences that brought me close to the ‘world of ideas’, a place where i’m kind of stuck, and where i feel free to join the tribal needs.
That’s why psytrance is my secret digression.. the wild one!
The white spectral world bridger.
