Katharsys began in 2001 when Hugo, a pianist, and Tom, a sound technician, start producing their first drum and bass tracks, inspired by the dark grooves and demented beats of artists such as Tech Itch, Dylan, Kemal, Konflict, Photek and Ice Minus to name just a few. After countless hours of waveshaping and savage beat processing, the duo were ready to begin releasing in 2004. Katharsys, from the ancient greek word "catharsys" meaning the emotional cleansing of the audience in relation to drama, is an extreme change in emotion. The main focus of the duo is to create intense sounds which evoked that kind of extreme changes, into electronic music. Producing from darkstep to neurofunk hard drum&bass, Katharsys has reached different labels, such as Habit (US),Guerilla (US), Barcode (UK), Sinuous (UK), and Obscene (UK), and have progressed to playing their hard as balls sets out to fans around Europe.
Katharsys's tunes appear on many dj mixes from Counterstrike, Donny, Dylan, Cooh, Evol Intent, Audio, Dj Hidden, Nanotek, Dean Rodell and Forbidden Society.
C.A.2K from Russia // Obscene / Future Sickness / Tech Cycle / Subsistenz
Straight out of Russia comes the energetic stepper, Evgeniy Belov aka C.A.2K. At the young age of 26, C.A.2K was noticed by Russian Dj Gvozd and shortly after C.A.2K's tunes were being played on the radio, This was a big stepping stone for C.A.2K as it motivated him even more to consistantley be found in his lab cooking up some "tekky-distorted bassline" beats. C.A.2K's tekky twisted dnb, landed him a dj gig at the legendary "Therapy Sessions" night that was held in Russia. Since then he has been traveling across Russia playing several different sized events spreading his infectious sound all across Russia. He has been on 9 cd compilations and has forthcoming releases with one of his favorite producers and influences, Mumblz, from the U.S.A. and Cooh is also a huge influence and mentor for C.A.2k and both have been providing much dj support all across the globe. From America to Russia and all areas in between!
RUJONIC from Finland
Jedi Ahvenus aka Rujonic started creating music at the age of 13 when he got his first guitar. But soon after that hardcore music took his heart and he started creating his own sounds with FL studio. Years went by and he started thinking about playing in front of live audience. early 2007 Rujonic got his own set of equipment and not long after he had proved his talent to the finnish audiences.Currently hes running Kolina-production club in tampere and is one of the resident dj:s in kovaydin vastarinta's brainbashers events and has played with many underground hardcore names including Igoa, Shotgun orchestra, the untitled, junkie kut etc.. Primarily his music consists of breaks influenced core and aggressive distorted basslines and experiments with noise and speedcore. known for his energetic performance Rujonic is sure to rock the estonian audience.

SQUAREWAVE from United Kingdom // New World Audio /
London based producer DJ Squarewave has had a very busy and succesful 2011, with releases signed to some of the most respected labels in the dubstep scene.
March 2011 saw the release of Quad Bikes, one of the most anticipated tracks of the year. This collaborative effort with Mensah and Sukh Knight is still smashing dancefloors to this day.
This was followed up in July with the release of Snitch on the Boka imprint. Heavily supported by Mistajam and Rob Da Bank on BBC Radio 1.
Squarewave also created his own record label this year New World Audio, and in August the four track Tribesman EP was released. The EP gained great support from a range of dj's and the title track was selected by DJ Hatcha for his Pure Dubstep compilation CD.
With his latest productions all receiving regular airplay on BBC Radio and Rinse FM - he has many releases lined up for the next year.
