►KAMIKAZE SPACE PROGRAMME [DECA Rhythm] (UK/EST)
Incredible Tech / Bass hybrids from the Artist also known as Raiden (Raiden OffKey)
Estonian based Chris Jarman is no stranger to the world of waiting endlessly in airports and developing obsessive compulsive studio habits. Having produced drum & bass for the last 10 years under the alias Raiden, he has a discography, label affiliations and dj history that would make most musicians green with envy. He is certainly no amateur in the music industry. But enough about that, this is about his latest project......Kamikaze Space Programme.
Kamikaze Space Programme or 'KSP' is fusion of House & Techno experiments with a healthy dose of Chris Jarman's own live percussion and his trademark monster bass production. Upon discovering the new UK bass movement, a music genre coming from post dubstep producers looking to create music with more substance and maturity, Chris felt this was the music he had waited 10 years for, and now he is part of it. After a decade of fusing 170bpms with techno and tribal rhythm’s Kamikaze Space Programme is the next logical step to his long and productive career - a sound devoid of rules and preconceptions, which is liberating for an artist who draws influences from a wide spectrum of music. Who else would mix Jeff Mills, Les Baxter and Hector Lavoe!
Within the first 6 months of creating Kamikaze Space Programme Chris has been asked to write 2 eps for the Bristol based label Deca Rhythm and received support from artists such as Addison Groove, Mj Cole, Blawan & Randomer as well as international bookings. Not bad considering he has only sent out a handful of demos! He has been working on a dj set up using the latest digital technology which aims to create a unique experience way beyond the realms of 2 turntables and a mixer mixing up styles from Tech House, Electro, to early Chicago House and Detroit Techno.
The funktastically pimplicious wonktastically spaztastic wotta mess is a dj who has been playing since 1999 on and off. He comes from south london, originaly, now living in east london, and got interested in rave music in the early 90s.
His first love was jungle until it became drum and bass, and in his opinion, (the earlier stuff) got "weaker". He then got into techno around 1996 when he stumbled into a underground dance party in vauxhall. From there he found out about acid techno, which he obsessed about untill 1999 when he went to a squat party which played wonky techno, and from there on no other music could satisfy his lust for the WONK.
He has played at various squat parties around london as part of sonic sound system, including multi-riggers, and also on http://illfm.net/ and pitchless industries radio.
The main style of music he plays is techno of the wonky/brighton genre, also known as wonk or no-school techno, however he also incorporates into his mixsets hard techno, underground electro, brakes, brakecore, hardtek, mutant bass, mashup stuff, noize, max bygraves, rolf harris, and various other nonsense, and anything with a wonky twang. I guess the best way to describe the music he plays is to call it "genre bending techno wonk" as you can never be sure what sort of tunes will get thrown into the mix. Also he plays a lot of crossover tunes causing more confusion as to what genre this dj fits into.
Regardless of what you want to call it, his aim musically is to wonk your senses, and make you jerk your limbs to the wonktasticlly spaztastic sound which other techno does not offer.
So be prepared to have your senses well and truly wonked!!!!
Dj Miss Delay started her career in 2007 Copenhagen, Denmark where she used to live for some years, recently relocating to Helsinki, Finland.
She has been playing at the best clubs in Copenhagen with many international names as well as abroad all the way to Spain. She has a very delicate taste in music and is always giving this special sensual energy to her audience and definitely making people dance.
And Hey... She is spinning Vinyls !
Toni Eronen alias Big Mistake is also known as a member of the Finnish hard dance group Carbon Based. Toni is one of pioneering artists of Finnish electronic music. His long history in music production dates back to the early 90s, when he joined Carbon Based. Toni’s interest towards other genres of dance music made him found his solo project Big Mistake, which, as a counterbalance to hard dance, focuses on more experimental styles like psy breaks, breaks, tech funk, techno, chill, electro, electro house, trip hop and progressive house.
