After two successful and sold out parties it's time to have our first dj from the official Future Disco dj roster. So we present: Pete Herbert!
Mr. Herbert has come a long way on his vivid journey through music. About 15 years ago he was a proprietor of the famous Atlas Records shop in soho, London. Since then he has been spending his time touring the famous clubs and parties around Europe and working in the studio either solo or with friends on various musical projects. One of his famous aliases is Reverso 68 with his balearic mate Phil Mison who release music for the Belgian Eskimo Recordings. Reverso 68 is well known for their remix work for acts like Juan Maclean, Ajello, Bent and Badly Drawn Boy. They recently released their first album in March 2011. Pete and Phil also record as Frontera for Danish label Music For Dreams. Another of Pete's projects is LSB alongside Barcelonas famous club dj Babyg. They released two monster hits for Eskimo, plus two mini albums-worth of re-edits on their own label Superdiscoteca. During the last few years LSB has put out a string of peaktime dancefloor remixes for the likes of Ilija Rudman, Low Motion Disco and Brazilian band The Pink Monkey Flowers. Pete also records as Bakazou for his label Specialist Interests and last but certainly not least, under his own name on remix duty. His latest remixes have been hitting on the spot in defining the sound of 21st century disco, blistering with 80's boogie vibes yet chugged up with that crispy euphoric dancefloor sound of today.
When not in the studio Pete can be found regularly behind the decks at places such as Fabric in his native London and other forward thinking clubs around Europe such as Mondos and Goa in Madrid, Cafe Capitol and Make up in Belguim and has recently and regularly done stints of djing in Brazil, Goa, Lithuania, Paris, Ibiza and Tel Aviv. From Herbert's set you can expect an unexpected mix of balearic, leftfield, disco, house, italo, dub, funk and beyond.
