During recent years, Future Disco has held global residencies at some of the world’s best venues including Ministry of Sound in London, Space in Ibiza and 360 in Dubai. Now after it’s fourth album release, the increasing global attention seems be in favour of the Future Disco concept.

Dana Bergquist’s journey into house music began with a trip to London in 1992. This was when he went to his first rave and from that point on he fully immersed himself in the music. Drawing early inspiration from the likes of Depeche Mode, Tangerine Dream, Giorgio Moroder, Les Adams, Aril Brikha, Sasha & John Digweed, Danny Howells and Desyn Masiello, his obsession with music and the natural high that comes from it is something he is now giving to house music lovers around the world.

His first bi monthly residency began in 2000 at Regnbågsrummet in Stockholm, which he shared with his long time friend Eric Prydz. Their friendship grew for their mutual love for the music and eventually led them on a two and a half month tour in 2007, where Dana was Eric’s warm up DJ at some of the best clubs in North America such as Space (Miami), Pacha (NYC), Avalon (LA), Ruby Skye (San Fran), Guvernment (Toronto), Stereo (Montreal), an truly amazing experience he will never forget.

Dana has played all over his native Sweden with residencies at the Grodan Cocktail Club, Fokused and since 2006 he has been resident at F12 Terrasen with his friend Andreas Hansson, who he also shares his monthly Oh! night with.

Dana has also played at major parties such as Renaissance, Ministry of Sound and Cream events in Sweden, which has allowed him to play along side some of the worlds best DJ’s including Danny Howells, Roger Sanchez, SOS, Sister Bliss, Luke Fair, Tom Middleton, Paolo Mojo, Nic Fanciulli, Sander Kleinenberg, Steve Lawler, Chris Lake, Adam Beyer, John Digweed and Timo Maas just to name a few. Dana’s natural creativity led him to start producing his own tracks and after a decade perfecting his skills in the studio he released arguably his best track, McEnroe, which was signed to Symphonic by and featured on John DigweedsTransitions compilation. Lately Dana’s finest work has come from his partnership with Peder G, who he met in 2000 through mutual friends Sebastian Ingrosso and Steve Angello. Their shared creativity in the studio has produced some massively popular tracks such as their remix of Eric Prydz’s Pjanoo, which was included in compilations from Cream and Ministry of Sound. Other tracks that continue to get major play time are Djakarta and Loveshine, which were both signed to his own label Discoteca and Loveshine featured on Global Underground Mix Series.

Dana’s sets are full of unexpected twists and turns, you never know what direction he is going to take but he always maintains a fluid flow that is created from blending the old and the new into a perfect fusion of tightly nit beats, which some have coined as ‘Dana House’. His musical tastes continue to grow and shape the future of how we hear house music, as Dana says “as of now it has never been better, it's like in the beginning all over again. All genres are merging into one, music has never been better!”
