Sun is starting to shine on us again and that means that we at Science are going to dig out the rollers from the record bag with the help of the two guys behind the Beatniks night, Physics and Alpine.
Physics doesn't really need any introduction, but let's do it anyway. He recently released his first long player, "Life In Cycles" on his own label Midnight Sun Recordings and he's released music on labels like Metalheadz, Vampire, Pivotal and many others. He's definitely Finland's very own King of the rollers.
Absorbing the ground-breaking sounds of the early rave scene Alpine was inspired to try his hand at mixing by the whole range of electronic beats spun by Dj's like Mickey Finn, Carl Cox and LTJ Bukem. in 1994 he put on his first parties with cohort Gary K in Nottingham supporting DJ's like Danny Rampling and Tom Harding. His open-minded approach to electonic beats persists to this day and he remains inspired by the new producers of today as much as the classics of the scene. Expect forward -thinking music whether it be two days or two decades old. The common factor is 'just a groove'!
And yes, we'll have the resident nerds Axu and Trisector in the place too with their sounds of old school brand. So come and join the fun, have a beer and enjoy the spring rollers.
