Marc Kirkbride - UK / DE
Mark Kirkbride is one of the few people who can be called a "Scratch master" A top class example of a true DJ, in fact, to call him a "Disc Jockey" underestimates his talent. He scratches, cuts, and pushes every feature of the decks and mixer to their maximum potential, creating fresh new sounds from any genre. His old skool set promises to be another roof raiser
This will be Marc's 3rd appearance in Finland, building on his growing reputation here!!
From a young age Marc has shown his distinct musical abilities by playing the piano and percussion with a natural flair for rhythm. As a top-grade percussionist at school, Marc soon turned his interests to the world of DJing. At aged 17, he was captivated by the use of turntables after seeing their true dynamics at the Technics World DJ Championships.
With these visions, Marc focused on perfecting his mixing abilities, scratching techniques and use of the sampler and effects panel.
The local Northern Irish clubbing scene quickly picked up on Marcs undoubted talents, and a residency at Primal in Bangor followed. With his abilities on full show another residency for Marc also emerged at Belfasts underground techno night: Protocol. Marc played alongside the likes of legendary DJ/Producers: Chris Liberator (UK), Lawrie Immerson (UK) and Bam Bam (USA).Post-Gig feedback saw Marc receive recognition and encouragement from several DJ's who commended him for his outstanding skills and unquestionable ability.
Marc Kirkbrides name has continued to rise in popularity and has now seen him spin his distinctive sound at other top venue's in Belfast including Resonate, Kube, Menagerie, Thompsons, Lavery's and The Garrick Appearances in Irelands: Enigma (Colourfest) and Scotlands: Club London and Sincere have also added to his list of bookings. With his DJ mixes gracing the airwaves on radio shows in N.Ireland, Ireland, England, Scotland and worldwide listeners tuning in through numerous dance websites.

Jason aka Jaywink found his interests in electronic music in the early 90's through the likes of The Orb, Prodigy & 808 State. With a first club gig in early 2000 Jason rapidly worked his way into the Finnish DJ'ing scene. With earlier sets predominantly filled with club house, Jason moved through various phases and movements of music. It was between these styles that he found his roots again within broken beat & breakbeat... the sounds that initially lured him into electronic music.
At the end of 2002, Jason was taken as a resident DJ in the organisation Children Of Dub. A niche organization devoted to promoting breaks parties in southern Finland. The residency helped Jason establish himself further and saw him regularly spinning at events around Finland. With gig's in some of Helsinki's legendary clubs like 'Kerma', 'Rosegarden', 'M-Bar' and 'Gloria' to name a few, Jason was quickly booked for gigs in some of St. Petersburgs finest clubs.
Since 2004 Jason has been promoting his own club nights under the name Bass Heroes. This was a project that Jason started solo for promoting his passion for breaks... but grew to an organization consisting of several DJ's. The birth of Bass Heroes had one thing in mind: To promote regular breaks/drum'n'bass events in southern Finland. With a list of successful nights, Jason's visions quickly came true! Jason's current projects now include a fortnightly Bass Heroes show on NuBreaks, a Breaks / Drum'n'Bass netradio station.
Depending on the mood of the venue, Jason's sets roll from full on bass heavy Breaks to the hardest Drum'n'Bass to a more down tempo Broken Beats. One thing is for sure, Jason ensures that there's Bass, and plenty of it!

Inspired by a pile of John Digweed, Sasha, Deep Dish and Orkidea mix CD's, Homegrove started his journey into electronic music in 2001. Through hard grafting, consistent networking, and spending almost every penny on music, Homegrove has developed a record collection to die for. Labelled as one of Finlands top class DJ talents, he has won the heart's of many bigger Finnish DJ's and charmed dancefloors across the country.
Originally buying the progressive and tribal house genres, Homegrove has nurtured a trademark style. From filthy Tech-House to a more progressive sound, Homegrove delivers to almost every crowd. Whether it be a 6hr chill-out set or a 2hr techno set he smoothly adapts to any clubbing occasion.
Registering his name at most of Finlands premiere club events like Screen, Fantasy, Danceteria and Labyrinth Summer Sound System, Homegrove has been seen playing alongside some of the top Finnish and Foreign DJ's such as Lee Burridge (UK), Steve Gerrard (UK), Rob Di Stefano (USA), Moshic (IL), and Stephen Porter (IE) .
Passion is always with this DJ when playing and this is clearly spelt with his choice of tunes. 2009 has already been a great year for Homegrove. Having been awarded a 'Moderator' status for John Digweed's prestigious 'Bedrock' forum, receiving a vast list of bookings and now a recent acquisition to become one of the resident DJs for British run club event Liquid Crystal Sounds. Homegrove clearly has things on track with plenty more ahead! A remarkable talent who has carved his name firmly into the minds of those who have heard him hail the decks.

From the time Smirker heard his first breakbeat / hardcore track on London's pirate radio waves he was hooked for life.Living, breathing, and spinning all forms and variations of the original 1992 "Old skool" hardcore rave sound, his vinyl collection is the envy of many. His Old skool sets are full of classic anthems, blended with more obscure tracks that still keep the part rocking, whether it be the '92 sound, or the Happy hardcore styles from 96 thru to present day Since 2003, he has been also branching out into the breakbeat genre, longing for the days of the more broken style, and since 2005 has been one of Finland's major exponent of the new Rave breaks/Nu Rave/Nu skool sound, a return to the 140 bpm piano-lead sound from 92, but brought bang up to date by the return of the Old Skool Heroes and the new breed of producers.
Having played alongside the likes of UK DJ Slipmatt, 1 half of legendary producers SL2, and UK Happy Hardcore DJ Stompy, he has learned form the best, and follows in the time honoured philosophy of always playing to the crowd, letting their energy lead the direction of not only the next track, but the whole set. No old skool fan can miss out on his sets, it always promises to bring back some great memories and re-ignite their love of the classic UK Hardcore sound.
Leading into the headline set of Marc Kirkbride, this promises to be a breakbeat lover's dream!
