2010 on täällä. Tätä lukua on leimannut lupaus uudesta ja uljaammasta jo pidemmän aikaa. Tosin tuo leima on viimeisten parinkymmenen vuoden aikana armottomasti haalistunut. Autot eivät vieläkään lennä, eikä pc:t tunnu edelleenkään oikein toimivan. Toivo uudesta ja uljaammasta maailmasta kuitenkin elää. Sen todistaa Kuudennella Linjalla kolmekymmentä nykyvisionääriä musiikin ja kuvan voimin. Nämä uudet äänimaailmat ja kuvat mahdollistavat sinun kokea sen, mitä piti jo olla.

Condoctors on kahden miehen projekti, jäseninä Jukka Kaartinen sekä Timo Ahlqvist. Condoctors syntyi vuonna 2009. Yhteistä musiikkitaustaa elektroniikka tohtoreilta kuitenkin löytyy jo kymmenen vuoden takaa eri kokoonpanoista. Condoctors on miesten ensimmäinen yhteinen projekti.
Yhteinen sävel löytyi samankaltaisesta musiikkimausta sekä ennen kaikkea kiinnostuksesta elektroniseen musiikkiin. Sekä Jukka että Timo ovat tahoillaan aloittaneet elekronisen musiikin parissa jo 1980‐luvun lopulla. Condoctors heijastelee vanhojen syntetisaattoreiden analogista äänimaisemaa.

Juho has been pushing tracks for a long time. He played his first gig in 1997 and to be honest, not much has happened after that. The bastard might have been lucky to release some shots on BPitch Control, Initial Cuts, Frozen North Recordings and Prologue Music, but he is still doing the same stuff he did that time. We might ask him why is he still here? Normal people understand to stop when there is no progress.Juho is a stubborn individual. As a musician his "career" might have been an anti-climax with a lot of effort and not much achievements, but is there something else he could do? The poor bugger is not much of an athlete. You couldn't imagine him as a model either. Let's face the facts: he is good enough to be a dj. Juho's problem is that he wants to be a bit more than that. He believes that making music will take him somewhere. So far it hasn't happened. Some people think it never will.Do not feel sorry for him. He has chosen to live this way. It is possible that he even wrote this piece-of-shit text himself. Juho draws his inspiration from melacholy, depression and anxiety. The future is something to fear. It might be that this kind of self-pity and pathetic dystopian visions feed him as an artist. What a loser.Juho sijoittui Pihtiputaalla Lastut-messujen karaokekilpailussa toiselle sijalle vuonna 1993. Ensimmäiseksi sijoittui ala-asteella samaa luokkaa käynyt Paula Vesala. Sittemmin Paula muutti pois paikkakunnalta, ja Juho otti paikan Pihtiputaan viihde-elämän kärjen tuntumasta. Edellä olivat enää iskelmälaulaja Virve Parkkonen (Peten isosisko) ja suomirokkia soittanut Napa-yhtye. Vuonna 1997 Kahilainen tosin voitti nämä molemmat Kylien kyky -kilpailussa. Keihästermein tätä suoritusta voitaisiin kuvailla onnenkantamoiseksi.
Näiden tapahtumien jälkeen Juho Kahilaiselta on julkaistu vinyylimuodossa musiikkia erinäisillä marginaalimusiikkia edustavilla levymerkeillä. Suuri menestys on antanut odottaa itseään. Ei voi väittää, että se olisi ollut edes erityisen lähellä. Jokin sisäinen pakko kuitenkin ajaa Kahilaisen tarttumaan syntetisaattoriin silloin tällöin. Tuo vimma ei ole vuosien varrella hellittänyt. Kunhan ymmärtäisi pysyä irti mikrofonista.
Samuli Kemppi is coming on strong. He has rapidly become domestic export number one with his releases on such labels as Mote Evolver, Ostgut, Komisch and Prologue. Bookings all over and massive amount of upcoming releases will keep him busy in increasing amounts.
Kasvoin Itä-Suomalaisessa tuppukylässä suomirokin ympäröimänä, vailla toivoa paremmasta. Ihme kuitenkin tapahtui kuulin kaupunkilaisystäviltäni elektronisen musiikin ilosanomasta. Tekno on puhutellut sisintäni siitä asti, kun vuonna 1994 koin musiikillisen heräämisen. Halusin tuottaa rytmimusiikkia myös itse, ja pian aika olikin kypsä Amiga viissataseni ja musiikkisoftan kohtaamiselle. Syntyi trancea, hardcorea, housea, trip hoppia, you name it, mutta puhdas ja suloinen tekno on aina ollut todellinen sydämeni laulu. Kitkatone, suoraviivaisen jumituksen asialla.
Producer, DJ. Born July 3, 1978, in Oulainen, Finland. Living, studying and working in Tampere since 2001. Best known for his releases on Shitkatapult and Festplatten. A tech-house producer with high originality level. His tracks consist of solid 4/4 beats, finely textured percussion with dubby chording and warm analog basslines.
Musical interest started on primary school where he played clarinet & oboe. After meddling with classical music for a couple of years, Sami started playing with synths in a band as well as bass guitar. Soon after, he bought his own synths & softwares and started making music. After graduating high school he moved to Oulu, the house capital of Finland, and started studies in Department of Information Science at University of Oulu.
In August 2001, Shitkatapult released his debut EP Kut Pulatin Pt. 1 to be followed with two in series, Pt. 2 in January 2002 and Pt. 3 in April 2002. These four-tracker EPs have been highly acclaimed for their potential for the dancefloor thanks to distinct sounds, punch beats, solid percussion and catchy rhythms, and all tied up with those all essential Dub-House stylings. In October 2002, Festplatten released a floor-grooving tech-house EP Satamakatu delivering four tracks of funkiness and harmonies.
Sami has also remixed such artists as T. Raumschmiere and Turner. In November 2003 Shitkatapult is releasing his debut album Salmiakki. Long-waited album will cover exclusive works from late 2002 to early 2003
You might know him from crazy floorfiller tracks like "kuravelli", "persetpattern", "shufflepunk" or "saatanansaatana". Well... Actually you wouldn't, since none of these were ever finished, properly named or heard anywhere. Okay, that's not entirely true either, because some of the few people he likes to think of as his friends have had to listen to that crap for years. You might have heard him play in some random underground party, but you wouldn't rememember any of that since you have been so drunk. It's just a physical impossibility to listen to that stuff sober. Remember to get hammered before listening.
Morphology, a new collaboration from Finland consisting of Michael Diekmann who records under the alias CRC and Matti Turunen otherwise known as Näköradiomies. Morphology fuses early electro sounds with haunting melodies to create a deep blend of atmospheric future funk.
