Casionova's relentless pursuit of Italo Disco and all things 80s synthesiser began upon his teenage discoveries of Parliament, B-52s, Drexciya and Suburban Knight, and quickly developed by 1999 into a full-blown mania for italo disco via the chance discovery of BB & Band's All Night Long and Fun Fun's Happy Station in a second-hand record shop in Manchester. Alone in this vision in the UK at the time, he was forced to scour Europe for his famed italo collection, and having pushed the sound at his electro night Molecular Breakdown (the first such club night on the South Coast) he found a kindred spirit in Ali Renault. Together with Spruxxx (with Casionova having previously been in many garage metal bands) they united to launch their spiritual mission of italo via a new label Cyber Dance.
Between 2003 and 2004 Casionova began to produce music very prolifically in a hybrid italo-Detroit style, and the first result of his work in this period was the epic Jam All Night (Parts 1 & 2) that featured on the first Cyber Dance EP in 2005. In the subsequent three years he has also founded and manages/programs Magic Waves Radio with Spruxxx, the first UK italo disco radio station, and put on and played at many italo nights all over the UK.
During the last years Casionova has arranged the magic waves festival, hosting the biggest names in Italo. During this years festival classic names like Casco, Alex Novaga, Fred Ventura and Fockewulf 190 performed along with contempory dj's and producers like Heartbreak, Legowelt, Alden Tyrell and of course Mr Casionova himself.
