This time Science is proud to present guest presentations from two heavyweights in Finnish drum'n'bass, Fanu and Physics.
Fanu, known as Janne Hatula to his mother, is one of the most original artists in modern jungle. A self-confessed sampling maniac and a breakbeat addict, his music relies on deep atmospheres and complex drumwork. He's a busy man in the studio, dj booths and skateparks. Now we get a chance to witness him behind the wheels of steel in his hometown. Raise your glasses but keep them outside the dj booth this time!
Physics aka Glenn Grip is the ambassador of deeper drum'n'bass in Helsinki. Running the Beatniks night together with DJ Alpine he's brought many interesting drum'n'bass dj's to showcase the deeper end of jungle. Alongside running the club night, he's also running his own label, making his own beats and dj'ing in various countries in Europe, as well as co-running the Digital Tunes music store with William Coates.
Trisector and VVR, the resident lecturers will also give their carefully crafted presentations about the state of drum'n'bass and jungle from the nineties to the present day.
