Jay van der Veen (UK)
Jay is known for his fondness of the golden years of trance in the late 90s and tries to recreate that feeling through his sets, playing quality trance tracks and mixing current tunes with the classics that all of us know. Jay comes from a musical family, having started playing the piano at 4 - getting a full classical and jazz education. He started djing late in high school, getting recognition from his audiences for his hard techno sets in the mid-90s. He then got bored with techno and moved to play house & trance, slowly making trance his genre of choice over the years. Jay has lived all over Europe and Asia - now he resides in central London and makes good use of the contacts hes befriended over his 17-year dj career. You can listen to Jays podcast, playing the latest trance and progressive tracks, at jayvanderveen.co.uk.
