"Storyteller, aka: Matthijs Breijer is one of the latest upcoming Dutch DJ/Producers. At just 23 years old, this young talent has already been producing electronic music since early 1995. Matthijs plunged into the world of production when he discovered Scream Tracker 3; one of the earlier DOS-based multi-track digital sequencers. With an ear for music and a creative mind, Matthijs followed his dream to release his own tracks.
With the rapid advancement of music production software, Matthijs built on his younger experiences and focused on perfecting his compositional skills. In 2002, Matthijss hard graft paid off. He landed a spot in the finals of a remix contest held by Dutch super label Blue Records. At the time, Blue Records was one of the most influential club music labels around the globe with the likes of Ferry Corsten, Klubbheads and Atlantic Ocean all gaining early recognition from releasing on the label. Matthijs finished a respectable 5th place in the finals and left his first footprint in the electronic music scene.
In 2005 Matthijs had completed his first EP: Shutdown / Restart which was immediately signed and released on 'Pangea Recordings'. Positive support and feedback from local Dutch DJs saw Matthijs rise to the occasion and in 2006 he fired out 13 more releases: The Storyteller EP, Torn Apart, Nabucco, Past Recollection, Rideau Street to name a handful. His productions were grabbed and signed to respected house and trance labels: Enhanced, Deep Blue Records, Curvve, Toes in the Sand & Cloud 9.
2007 and the beginning of 2008 brought even more success. Matthijss tracks were featured on several albums: Gareth Emery -The Podcast Annual 2007 and The Enhanced Collection Series by Enhanced Recordings. More fame followed with Matthijs remixing and producing alongside Eelke Kleijn, Gareth Emery, Elevation, Vadim Zhukov, DJ Tarkan, Gabriel Batz, Mohawk, Temple One, Emersia and Supüer. Matthijss tracks also received full support from DJ's such as Paul van Dyk, Armin van Buuren, Hernan Cattaneo, Gareth Emery and Menno de Jong.
As a DJ, Matthijs has been spinning for just over a few years. However, within a few months of beginning his DJ career he had already clinched a weekly spot on Globalbeats FM web radio station. With his turntable talents audible to the public ear, Pure FM was the next in line to offer Matthijs a regular slot on their online radio station. To further this, Belgian FM station Topradio aired one of his 1-hour promo mixes on their Rotationz show alongside DJ legend Sander Kleinenberg.
The Dutch clubbing scene quickly picked up on Matthijss undoubted talents and a list of bookings commenced. One of the biggest gigs saw Matthijs spinning with Menno de Jong and Sied Van Riel at Intuition Invites held at Asta in The Hague. At such a tender age, it seems that Matthijs has already achieved so much but with a whole host of productions due for release in the near future and DJ bookings rolling in, this Dutch talent is set to make a real impression in the world of electronic music."
"DJ Seb kicked off his DJ career way back in 1993 spinning genres from vocal house to full-on techno. With 15 years of experience behind the decks, Seb is a DJ who can clearly take any dance floor by the scruff of the neck. Whether it be an intimate venue with a small crowd to a packed out festival, Seb always manages to keep the momentum going and maintain his distinguished level of sophisticated music. With an endless stack of tunes at his disposal, Sebs style can range from house to prog-house or from breaks to tech house.
Seb has headlined at every major club in Turku and has left his benchmark sound at events held within almost all other Finnish cities. Playing alongside names such as The Thrillseekers, Mike Koglin, Parham, Desyn Masiello, Stonebridge, Steve Gerrard and Jori Hulkkonen, Seb has also earnt his fair share of gigs abroad too. As a promoter, Seb began by aiding the organisation of illegal raves in 94 and followed by running legendary club nights such as Perjantai and Progress. Seb joined Club Fantasy in 2001 and more recently has turned his passion to managing Turkus premier nightspot Klubi. One thing for sure, if its promoting or DJing, Seb is always a guarantee for quality!"
Born in London, Progression's connectivity with electronic music began in the late 80's. In 1994, at just 14yrs old, his DJ career kicked off with the purchase of turntables. With a dominant rave scene within the UK, Progression became the instigator for organising small illegal underground parties for many years until his big break came in 1998. Progression simultaneously launched two separate club nights at his university in west London and established himself a 4-yr residency. As both a DJ & promoter, Progression played alongside numerous domestic and foreign DJ legends. A move to Finland came in 2003 with his DJ career continuing in cities such as Helsinki, Turku, Vaasa, & Oulu.
Now 28yrs old, Progression is a resident DJ within Finland's legendary 'Millennium' organisation. Continuing where he left off in London, Progression also co-runs his own underground club night: 'Liquid Crystal Sounds' where he plays alongside some of the finest UK, Dutch and Finnish DJs. With his sets consisting of melodic, uplifting progressive & lower-tempo Trance, Progression has established a 'Trademark' sound which concentrates on driving bass-lines and deeper expressive breakdowns. A DJ who carefully crafts his own passion and feeling for music into the atmosphere of his sets!
"Born in Belfast, Northern Ireland, Alistair's: (aka Ali King) early musical experiences were tied with instruments such as the Trumpet, Classical Guitar & Piano. During the late 90's Ali threw his rhythmic talents into DJing. As Belfasts clubbing scene expanded, Ali found himself playing with both local and international DJ talents including Gareth Hogan, Terry Keely (http://www.shine.net), Mark Kinnier (Futura) and Marc Kirkbride (Protocol, Perpetual).
A move to Finland in 2003 didn't stop Ali's passion for DJ'ing. DJs: OlliS, Sasha F, Alex Kunnari, D.N.A., Flight and Nemes are a just a few who have all played with this maturing talent. With a definitive style merging many different genres, expect Ali's DJ sets to be anything from Chilled-out to Deep-Techy-Progressive through to tough Drivin down n dirty Techno. A DJ who always brings something completely new to every occasion and get's the dancefloor movin'."
