So grab your coats, get on down and immerse yourselves in a night of deep, vibrant underground sounds.
""Chris Cargo has been at the forefront of electronic music in Ireland for well over 10 years. As a well established DJ, he is one who always manages to complement various styles of House music into his sets. From deep-murky house to the more tougher harder beats, Chris creates the perfect journey. Setting the standard from start to finish.
Just one look at his ever increasing list of past gigs merely confirms this DJs popularity. From Kuala Lumpur to Amsterdam via Mexico, Siberia, Lisbon, Copenhagen, Vilnius, Hamburg, Athens to name a handful... it would be easier to say where he hasn't been yet!
From triumphant sets at Lush! In Portrush (Northern Ireland), to wowing the crowds in Beijing, Belarus, Zurich and Moscow, through to countless gigs in the UK... Chris's mentality of merging numerous different genres has made him such a versatile trademark DJ name. As Chris explains himself: "I could never stick to one genre, it would just be holding myself back. A lot of DJs get stuck into playing the same sounds over again and before you know it, they've been left behind. I believe its important to take risks with your music and diversify."
As a producer, Chris Cargo has had over 40 productions and remixes officially released to his name (Click Here - Discogs). Whether it be under his breaks guise of Carganoid, re-editing the likes of Green Velvet, or releasing chunky Progressive on the Renaissance label, Chris feels at home with any production duties. Chris has recently collaborated alongside Barry Gilbey (Mara) where they produced the monstrous 'Chunkafunk' on Choo Choo Records which has gained heavy support from the likes of The Plump DJs and Meat Katie and was also voted Mixmag's essential new tune!
Chris has also teamed up with Col Hamilton (C64) and under the Hamilton/Cargo alias they have released 'Broken Piano' on Futureshock's new label Pravo which has gained massive support from the likes of Steve Lawler, Nic Fancuilli and King Unique. Adding to this the mighty 'Cityscape' released on Renaissance, 'Shift It' on Choo Choo, 'You R' on Kumquat tunes, 'Warning' on Slide Recordings and the mighty "You Asked For This" on Adjust, you can see why Chris is widely regarded as one of Ireland's top producers.
Chris's wide appeal and output quality has seen his tracks appear on compilations for the likes of Renaissance, Intec, Seb Fontaine, Danny Howells, Valentino Kanzyani, Anthony Pappa, Slinky, Privledge-Ibiza, Global Underground and many more. Countless interest in Chriss DJ and producer abilities has made him just as well known in Eastern Europe as he is in his native Belfast.
In 2006 Chris completed a month long tour of China in association with Smirnoff Black, China Loop and Renaissance as well as the launch his own monthly mix show for the Balance Record Pool on 'Proton Radio'. In 2007 Chris had another massive year with a shopping basket full of productions and remixes released, alongside a heavy djing schedule, the continual running of his own club "Rise" and initial work on his own debut album. With all that hard work, 2008 promises to be an even better year with more production work in the pipeline and more and more DJ bookings flooding in."
