DJ Whirl started to spin records in 1998 - in the beginning of high-school at simple school parties. Already then - Whirl worked with 12" records (ohter school-djs didn't).The style he played was trance. He grew up soon out of high-school raves to his own series of events "Trancemission", which took place in the internet cafe ENTER - in the heart of Tallinn.
Whirl and Mayer met first in 2000. Then they found their common interest - music production. In those years, we are talking about dnb. But already few years later, they came out of the studio with new hard trance DJs/producers team "Hard Driverz". Under this alias they produced a lot of trance tunes and went out in the clubs as DJ-team.
Under Whirl & Mayer alias, guys released their first single "Streets At Night" in 2004. Two weeks after releasing the single, Estonian biggest club music events organizing team Club Unlimited,decided to announce "Streets At Night" the official anthem of the Estonian biggest outdoor event - Freedom Parade 2004.
After that "Streets At Night" spread all over the Estonia and Balticum - in the nightclubs and in the radio stations TOP charts (Top 1 hit in Power Hit Radio: Estonia and Lithuania).
Whirl & Mayer released Streets At Night (The Official Anthem Of Freedom Parade 2004), The World Is Ours (The Official Anthem Of Freedom Parade 2005), Love and Heaven Above in 2004-2007 under MFM Records.
For now, after releasing "Heaven Above", Whirl And Mayer decided to break up and start their solo careers. And so, Whirl has created several new projects called CI-LOG and Sunrise which will be launched soon in the future.
