With the summer seeds all set, Liquid Crystal Sounds kick-off part IV, to be held on June 9th at Raatihuone Underground. After a lengthy break, we now hit back with a party to heat up the start of the summer season. Our last event "Movement" bought a successfully spirited sound of Trance-Progressive with DJ's Orion, Jussi Soro and Josh pounding out some alluring uplifting beats.
This time we lean forward with "Horizons" to bring back a more Techy, Electro-Progressive atmosphere. We recall Northern Ireland's 'Mark Kinnier' to play alongside two Turku based turntable talents: Homegrove and Nescio. With the input of Progression, these four DJ's will be injecting their unique styles from wall to wall to bring you the distinctive atmosphere that Liquid Crystal Sounds continually strives to keep up... Expect some tasteful tunes with that summery feeling as we invite you all to experience another round of the underground!

From filthy Tech-House to a more Progressive sound, Homegrove delivers to all crowds. Registering his name at most of Finlands premiere club events like Screen, Fantasy and Labyrinth Summer Sound System, Homegrove has been seen playing alongside some of the top Finnish and Foreign DJ's such as Lee Burridge and Steve Gerrard. Born in London, Progression's connectivity with electronic music began in the late 80's. In 1994, at just 14yrs old, his DJ career kicked off with the purchase of turntables! He became the instigator of organising illegal parties for many years until in 1998 the big break came. Progression launched two club nights in West London. He became a 5-year resident Hauling in the droves and played alongside DJ legends such as Tall Paul, Scott Bond, Jean-Jaques Smoothie and Timmy Deluxe. A move to Finland came in 2003 with his DJ career continuing in cities such as Helsinki, Turku and Tampere. Now 26 yrs old, Progression co-runs his own underground club night 'Liquid Crystal Sounds' where he plays alongside some of finest UK and Finnish DJs. His sets consisting of Trance, Electro and Uplifting Progressive, with his musicizm concentrating on driving basslines and deeper expressive atmospheric breakdowns. One DJ who never goes unnoticed!

"Nescio journeyed into the world of electronic music at the start of the milennium with little persuasion. At a time when Paul Oakenfold was on fire and producing such alternative and unique mix CD's, Nescio already had an influential beginning to his DJ career. His first DJ-setup came in 2002 with the birth of his musical style: Uplifting Trance. With the movement and development of electronic genres, Nescio was lured into spinning the more progressive-deeper sounds all the way to a more Electro-House sound. Winning the "Turunskene.org" Open Decks Competition during Spring 2006 proved that Nescio lives up to his reputation: Accurate technique, smooth mixing with an original choice of tunes. A top class talent merging older and newer styles. This DJ provides and effortlessly captivates the crowd with his emotional connection and blending of music!"
