Kuulin mä sitten oikein...

Olin bilettämässä lauantaina ja ei ole mitään pahaa sanottavaa. Tykkäsin aivan mielettömästi. En ole Serenassa aiemmin ollutkaan että varmaan sekin voi vaikuttaa. Järjestelyt toimi tosi hyvin ja pukukaapinkin sain vaikka tulinkin myöhemmin. Kiitos Tampereen bussikyydin luotsaajalle ja vieressä istuneille. Täällä Suomen ilmaston armoilla todellakin tarvitaan tällaisia bileitä ja huomaa että järjestäjillä on homma hallussa, seuraavaa kertaa odotellessa.

..ja lisäyksenä vielä toi musiikillinen puoli..mitä nyt ehti kuuntelee ja keskittyy, niin Pääpuolella maistui Something Good kyllä mukavasti!.
..ja Luolassa Paul Easy!

..Casper vs. Boy Jorge olis ollu mukava kans nähdä/kuulla..mut ei ehtiny paikalle.. =/

..samoin Pääpuolelta Lauri Soini ja Niko Geselle & Tony Profondo..

Submerged!

This was my first time shooting at Pacifique and my oh my did it NOT go as planned...

I was enjoying the event and all was great until an unknown drunken sailor landed on me in the pool after doing a rather uncool stunt or something. I literally had to dive after my camera gear that got totally submerged in water. Not cool! Not cool at all...

To my huge surprise, the camera, the lens and the flash were still working, but were deeply wounded: I had no autofocus anymore, the flash worked randomly and lots of other automated features were disabled. So the evening turned into a technical challenge going from top-of-the-line-high-tech-stuff to really basic old school stuff. Manageable but really, really difficult.

The incident happened very early on in the evening and it killed the buzz for me a bit. (picture number 31 is the first one after the dive) I had a really hard time focusing (ha-ha) on the event as I was worried about the camera and whether it would last the whole event or not...

I'm still gutted about my drowned gear and I know I would have done so much better with the pics without that incident. But all in all, considering the crippled equipment, I'm pretty pleased with the results and happy I didn't just give up, pack my bag and go home (it certainly crossed my mind!).

The event itself was fantastic! More like this please!

Wassseer!

This was my fifth Pacifique and it was suprising to see that they decided to move the stage from it's earlier position "to the side". But after wondering the situation for a while, it seemed to work better. The lights were more concentrated and it seemed to be easier for the clubbers to dance in the more shallow waters.

Friday night was a bit low with it's overall tempo. People had a great time, but some tiredness of the present work week could be noticed from the movements of the wandering customers and clubbers. I don't have much to tell with words - check the pictures :) Luckily I managed to get my new favourite lense into use, and photographed about 85% of the overall pitures with it. Well, here they are. Enjoy!

PS. Hopefully we will see each other next year! This year was guaranteed Pacifique quality!

Omalta osalta ensimmäistä kertaa oli perjantain tapahtuma täydellinen.
Alkuilta tuli surrattua ympäri vesipuistoa ja sen jälkeen luolan loistava musiikki vei tanssijalkaa!

Lauantai meni rataväsymyksen ja hitusen lyhyiden yöunien jälkeen jotenkin itseltä ohi ja tulikin poistuttua väljemmille vesille kohtuu aikaisin.

Teknisesti toteutus oli 100% kunnossa ja kaikilla vierailla tuntui olevan hyvä meininki.

Arvasin, että kommentistani syttyy "sota".
Vesipisaroiden roiskuminen on eri asia kuin se, että sun päällesi varta vasten heitetään vettä.
Itse kävin pesemässä levahtaneet meikit pois ja jatkoin jorailua. Mulle ei todellakaan tuota ongelmia esiintyä ilman meikkiä. Joten se siitä pinnallisuudesta.

Kiitos kaikille juhlijoille, artisteille, tapahtuman tekijöille ja ystäville huikeasta viikonlopusta. Chris Coco on nähnyt todella monet juhlat viimeisen 20 vuoden aikana, mutta oli todella fiiliksissä Pacifiquesta ja tuntui muutenkin viihtyvän Suomessa. Oli aivan parasta ikinä! *

Ekaa kertaa Pacifiquessa ja pitää kyl ehdottomasti mennä taas jonottamaan lippuja seuraaviin heti kun tulee myyntiin.

Tosin bileitä seuraavana aamuna täältä viestejä lukiessa tajusin että oli jääny luola kokonaan katsastamatta artisteineen vaikka etukäteen oli päällimäisenä mielessä.
Mut paikalle kun pääsi niin oli vaan siistiä ihan päälavallakin joten haihtui mielestä.

Et totaa... Voisko joku järkätä tämmösiä vaik useamminkin? Emt vaik niiQ kerran kuussa?
