Tarmo Vannas - Topaz (Part 1) - Proton Music
01 Original Mix
02 Benz&MD Remix
03 Federico Epis Remix
04 Derek Howell Remix
The original track is inspired by the classic Detroit Techno and Chicago House sounds - particularly the early sound of Derrick May, Kevin Saunderson, Larry Heard and Marshall Jefferson. And inspired also by the classic Def Mix Productions - particularly the sound of David Morales and Satoshi Tomiie. But in more general the track uses classic House/Techno elements fused with todays production techniques and sound design moulding it into an up to date Progressive House track.
The remixes for Part 1 of the release come from names you most likely already know. They are all on the Progressive House side of things with a little Electro tinge in there, but all very different takes on the original and really do the damage on the dancefloor! You may check here for a little YouTube clip of the Derek Howell Remix in action http://youtube.com/watch?v=ILaDXdtatVQ
