Sasha and John Digweed's 'Renaissance - The Mix Collection' is being re-released this November, 10 years after this seminal album was originally brought out.
Sasha and John Digweed's Renaissance - The Mix Collection is still regarded as one of the great mixes and the fact that it was the first club-based compilation to go gold in the UK, selling 100.000 (!!!) copies within 6 weeks of release is a testament to this.
Speaking about the re-release Renaissance head Geoff Oakes said: "releasing this album again has been the holy grail for us. 10 Years since the original release became the ultimate justification for doing it, and working on the project has brought back some fantastic memories. the remastering has really brought out the best in an incredible album that still deserves it's plaudits as the best compilation ever. It's a 'must-own' album that we are all still very proud of!"

As the 10th anniversary of its original release looms it will return re-mastered and re-artworked. Sasha and John Digweed have given the album a full pre-master overhaul, tweaking the frequencies, making all the discs sound clearer and brighter. The studio re-master has used modern applications that weren't available 10 years ago; reducing background hiss and those annoying little clicks and whistles! All in all the album sounds even better than it ever did before, opening up a whole new dimension that will surprise even the most ardent and familiar fan.
