I wasn't going to reply any more to this but Aril Brikha was first signed to Fragile while the inferior American act Microworld was released
on Transmat.
After Aril Brikha became a huge success only then further releases were planned for Transmat.
But if you notice Brikha's music was original enough not just a generic formula. The synth and pad parts reminded me more of Jam n'
Spoon Stella - A European early trance sound.

As far as Fabrice Lig, he's just using a conventional method and the melodic parts do not go any where in my opinion.
A secret for achieving tthis sound is actually quite simple:
Use the chord function on a Roland synth like an Alpha Juno and you can easily play generic Detroit type pads playing one note at at time
and also using the pitch bend.
Play the Midi through a JD800 or Yamaha DX for the old Derrick May sound.

nah, i believe he meant that you should create something
of your own. no forced bullcrap style imitations. compose
anything that makes your booty shake, and polish
it. music isn't supposed to be just licking each other balls
with certain kits, presets, so-called-feelings, or location
wannabees or whatever you want to call it.

it just isn't justifiable. there is no need to wank about
plagiarism & influences. but it really isn't easy to honestly
make something that isn't already made. for that to happen,
you shouldn't have heard or listened anything before
'composing'. moreover, you should be certain that no one else
is thinking the same thing at the same time. (kill all humans
to be sure :))

it's more easy IMO to just leave the style'n'shit out of the
context and just make the damn/bloody music.

yep, i'm from finland and i have no ambition in making
anything that someone from somewhere calls 'finnish'.
for example: there's surely more than enough of italos making
constantly the same stylish italotekno. isn't it more fun to be
recognized as 'that dude's shit' instead of 'that stylish shit'?
don't ask me, there's boundaries to be broken.

but enough of this bs: these tracks are pretty impressive if
you're into this kind of shit.
