The Angelic Science compilation showcases strictly the best in creative psychedelic downtempo from the far north, with additional sonic sorcery from the United Kingdom. Dubby and spaced out, perplexing, surprising and cutting edge all the way this compilation is a match made in heaven for sofa surfers.

The compilation starts with "Myriad" by Indidginus. Hailing from London Michael Martin brings us a beautiful, tribal downbeat track, co- produced by Colin Bennun of Unconscious Collective/ OOOD fame. Next we have the lush Borderland, straight from top man of nu- school breaks in Helsinki, the Botchit and Scarper signed LBJ, this time together with TAYA and her mesmerizing vocals. Catchy, poppy, and absolutely twisted. The third tune comes courtesy of Markku Louhio of Kiwa and Faithealers, this time appearing under the name Subfocus. The cinematic "Fountains Across" is a guaranteed bliss for the many lovers of his unique, dubby beats. Then its time to call back the almighty LBJ, now with 2 partners in crime of bass and heavy delay, S.Tamura and J.Kuoppala. Together they cook up "Movie S" such a stormer of a psychedelic dub track the weather stations around Helsinki need to recalibrate for the next week or two. Gettoblaster Sound is now taking over, with the soothing melodies of "Tear of the Crocodile". This debut release of theirs is just enough to get you lost somewhere you always wanted to get lost in. They now give the stage to the legendary Transparents. With previous releases on Exogenic and a solid, well deserved reputation from their numerous live- performances their track invokes expectations, and delivers what is expected. "Playground" is psychedelic rock fused with downbeat and electronica, a sure shot straight into the target. Track number 7 is another debutant, from the city of Porvoo comes Sora, a collective of young musicians with enough talent to take any unprepared listener by a big surprise with their track "Gos- Mos". With spine tickling vocals from Pi Kiviharju this track is nothing less from mindblowing. Koneveljet is a very well established trio recording on Exogenic, they are next in the line with "Redux v2", a sample crazy journey to the land of asian mumbo jumbo and Finnish electronics. The composer of track number 9 needs no introduction, Kris Kylven has released on labels such as Dragonfly, Transient and Atomic Reactor, under the names UX, Syb Unity Nettwerk, E.O.N. Project and Faithealers to name a few. This time he gives us "Angel Dust", a magnificent sonic journey of 10 minutes, cleverly melting together everything from dub to trance, mystical chanting and breathtaking tribal female vocals. The last but no means least is Kiwa, the stars of the Finnish psychedelic dancemusic scene. "Wider Chanting" is a perfect way for ending the compilation, surprisingly structured tribal dub to lift you to out of this world.
