Marcel Milano, a.k.a Rodger Thatcher, a.k.a. Enrico du Giuseppe, is a funky/progressive/tech house/techno DJ who's been spinning records since 1999. His styles vary from groofy funk, the softest and deepest house tunes, and minimalistic tech house tweaks, to progressive house and breaks, and uplifting techno. Coming from the rather rural areas from north-east Finland, he has worked his own way to get to spinning in the biggest parties in Oulu, Finland, where he has worked as supporting DJ to such big names as 808 State (DJ set), Jori Hulkkonen, Daniel Bell, Lena Popova and Monojunk. During the (academic) year 2001-2002 Marcel enjoyed the residency of the Blindin'!!! nights in Alberry's Wine Bar in Canterbury, UK. The night goes still on in 2007, thus they must have not been unpopular! Also during the same year, he took part to the "Juice DJ" DJ-competition by Daily Telegraph, winning the University of Kent in Canterbury (UKC) qualification. From there he followed on to the quarter-finals which took place in University College in London, but unfortunately there, taking into account that he had his turntables still back in Finland thus little chance to practise, and that the level was very high, he couldn't get no further. But it definitely must have been a rich experience!
After a brief return to Finland, Marcel went back abroad, this time to Netherlands, where he has stationed himself in the heart of the country, Utrecht. He is still active with DJing, at random parties here and there, but especially with the monthly residence during the school year, at Cafe Het Hart.
