Ibiza - majoitus vinkkejä

Yhdessä vaiheessa house-tyyppien levylaukun ainoa rockbiisi oli Smells Like Teen Spirit tai joku sen remix.

Kyllä se tuntui edelleen olevan.. Ainakin kun kuukausi takaperin terassilla kävin, niin ainoa (onneksi) rokkibiisi mitä erkki soitti oli alkuperäisversio teen spiritistä.

Näin oli myös hänen setissään terassilla v. 2002. Jospa se mun ja kumppanien reissun aikana syyskuussa soittais vaikka sen Are You Gonna Go My Way'n, minkä heitti setin loppuun Hesari Clubilla :confused:

Tosta 7 nation armysta on tehty aika montakin eri remiksiä... Ainakin Freelandin remix on ollut aika suosittu... Sama mies on remixannut myös tuon smells like teen spiritin... Joo, tosiaan noi soi saarella aika vahvasti jo viime kesänä...

Letter from Gee

Before I begin I'd like to use this opportunity to thank all of you for your incredible support over the years especially now with these sad turn of events. My only purpose at Bora Bora was to play music, project my personality and make the party which I did to the best of my ability and enjoyed more than I ever thought possible; it has been truly a labor of love, It's not sunk in yet but I know I'll miss it very much.
I've had the best years of my life here because of you all, I only came here to become a beach bum but I found a real treasure that's worth so much more than money.
I can't tell you how sad I am to think that I will no longer party and see all the friends and faces from over the last 8 seasons at Bora Bora Ibiza together again, Bora Bora is more than a beach venue it's a unique altitude and has always been about you, make no mistake about that.
I'd like to thank all the guest DJ's that have played at Bora Bora, the record producers, record companies, the Bora Bora workers, Security, web site people, and media for their positive commitment, friendship and support.
Bora Bora has been a place where people of all ages, nationalities, professions and political beliefs can party together as one without fear and discrimination, I'm more proud to be a part of this than anything. The world has become a lot smaller and I really do believe that once all the bull **** is taken away that people can always get on.
Jealousy and greed are very powerful and destructive human emotions and unfortunately we now see them being used against all who have been coming to Ibiza to enjoy the party and make it wealthy over the past thirty years or so.
I don't want to use this writing to promote those responsible for the islands closures any more than necessary, it's incredible and sad to think that Bora Bora, DC10 terrace, Sa Trinxa, KM5, Kumharas, Benirras, etc could be such a threat to those who feel their superiority being challenged, these are more than parties they are traditions that help bring people on to the island who also feed the clubs, if they are to be the only ones here then the sprit of the island is lost, Disneyland with only Mickey mouse is not so much of an attraction.
Well a few clubs closed us all down and so there's not a lot left on this island except a Space that smells of rotting cherries and a forgetfulness of those that have made them wealthy and thinks of no one or anything else than it's own greed and self obsession, the small sharks that have gone along for the ride in this destruction are doing so because they are running scared and have a jealously of their own to get out of their system, they have also been used as a form of camouflage to disguise those responsible but the cowardly act has been uncovered, people are really not as stupid as they think.
I wonder who is next, and when there's no one left (which is not a long time away), I'm sure they will be picking on each other again.
So now this years closing party's have taken on a new theme, it's now the celebration in the closures of others that will be celebrated by those responsible.
Many people come to Ibiza for the party, its freedom and to enjoy its beauty, it's very well documented in books, mags and film and therefore hard to end up in the wrong place, I mean it's not like this island just started yesterday, all the surrounding hotels and bars of Bora Bora are owned by the same organization. The apartments around were full of people who stay there because they know what to expect.
It's strange to see all the terraces closed down with no music with the exception of Pacha and the two terraces of Space, one of which includes the new roof terrace that like Pacha terrace also has music playing well after midnight.
What's so wrong with people coming here for the best two week of their year to dance on a table on the beach in the sun and feel free and happy?
We have always looked after the people coming to Bora Bora and have never had a fatality; I wonder how many other venues can say that?
If they want to do some good then maybe they should put their attention to making all the death roads safer or is that still impossible? How many more fatal deaths will there be on these or through dangerous illegal buildings being put up while they are putting their efforts into stopping the party?
If they don't want the clubber anymore and want to replace them with families why didn't they just come out with it?
Bora Bora has made all of us very happy and given us many powerful memories that will stay, and that's something they can't take away from us although I'm sure they would if they could.
Here's one last message to all our friends, Thank you for being there year after year and for your loyal support, whenever you see a plane flying over head remember to wave and think of how it was at Bora Bora, we will party together again but on a different and more inviting playing ground where only this rule will apply, enjoy it to the max because you never know when it will end.

Oh, and tables are for dancing on.

Viimeistään ensi keväänä nähdään, joskos kyseiset tahot perustavat Uuden Virallisen Rantabilepaikan de Bossalle. Markkinarako epäilemättä jää ja eihän sitä sovi jättää täyttämättä. :( Niinku uusi virallinen päivä/-alkubilepaikka kyseisiin nimeltämainitsemattomiin klubeihin.

epäilen, että sinne ei saa enää mitään uutta perustaa. on ollu villiä huhua eräiden tahojen toiminnasta ibizalla, eli suuremmat ja kauniimmat haluavat rajoittaa pienien klubien "toimintaa". En oo nyt viime aikoina seurannu niin tarkasti asiaa, mutta tietääkseni DC10 pistettiin matalaksi, eli lisenssit pois. tosin Circo Loco posse uhmasi guardia civiliä ja pitivät päätösbileet kaikesta huolimatta ja kapinameiningillä. sama homma on vissiin käymässä KM5:lle eli ei oikeutta pitää ns. bileitä, taustamusaa ainoastaan OK soittaa.

En oo nyt viime aikoina seurannu niin tarkasti asiaa, mutta tietääkseni DC10 pistettiin matalaksi, eli lisenssit pois. tosin Circo Loco posse uhmasi guardia civiliä ja pitivät päätösbileet kaikesta huolimatta ja kapinameiningillä.

DC10:n Circo Locossa -- joka muuten on Ibizan parastunnelmainen klubi, voittaa jopa Bora Boran RIP -- biletettiin vielä ainakin viime viikon maanantaina 20.9. niin hemmetisti. Olin siellä! Ja lehtitietojen mukaan päätösbileiden piti/pitäisi olla vasta ma 4.10., heti Spacen päättärien jälkeen. Maanantaina 4.9. ei ollut Circo Locoa, koska silloin Guardia oli takavarikoinut PA:n -> ei bileitä.

En sano, etteikö jossakin Pachassa tai El Divinossa olisi "ihan kivaa", mutta kuka jaksaa jatkuvaa überklubbailua? Edes Subliminalissa tai We Love Sundaysissa? Bora Bora ja Circo Loco tarjosivat uugeempaa housemeininkiä, ensin mainittu myös mahdollisuuden ruskettua sekä bilettää pelkässä uima-asussa. Voi vittu mua itkettää... Tuntuu kuin joku kaveri olisi tapettu... Tai lapsuudenkoti palanut... :panic:

Salilla käymisen painokkain pointtikin on mennyt nyt, kun menivät sulkemaan Bora Boran. Kondista toki tarvitaan myös Formenteralla ja arkielämän askareissa ympäri vuoden, mutta se ei ole sama asia.

hmm - valistakaapa asioista tietämätöntä siitä mitä on oikein tapahtunut ja mitkä kaikki paikat on suljettu tai ainakin piuhat on vedetty irti?

ilmeisesti on taas tullut uusia lakeja / asetuksia? toisaalta näinhän on käynyt ties kuinka monta kertaa eikä homma ole juuri muuttunut (esim. flyerin jakoon liittyvät uhkasakot muutama vuosi takaperin jne)

itse en koskaan ole bora borasta ihmeemmin innostunut mutta jos sa trinxa on lopettanut niin sitten ei muuta kun surupuku päälle. ainakin henk. koht trinxaan ja koko salinakseen liittyy vaan niin järjettömän hyviä fiiliksiä että sitä on vaikea tässä kuvailla.

ei sinänsä mikään ihme jos bora bora on joutunut silmätikuksi, enpä muista missään baarissa nähneeni ibizalla yhtä avointa kaman diilausta...

montaa eri huhua liikkuu, mutta nämä kaikki nivoutuvat siihen, että "luvat eivät ole olleet kunnossa". No, siitä ollaan montaa mieltä, että onko luvat otettu kesken kaiken pois kun ei ole näytetty tarpeeksi isoa rahasummaa viranomaisille. tämä selittäisi mm. isojen klubien juomien hinnoittelun. jostainhan klubien on saatava paljon rahaa pitääkseen tuottoisaa bisnestä pystyssä ja pystyäkseen maksamaan viranomaisille. näin he jättävät sinut & klubin/baarin luvat rauhaan. pienemmillä klubeilla/baareilla ei ole varaa maksaa niin paljoa kun ei ole esim pääsylipputuloja juuri lainkaan. myös tuo mainitsemasi avoin kaman diilaus on ollut huhuna. kun olet maksanut guardialle, he eivät välitä enää jos joku diilaa klubissasi. itse olen tuosta eri mieltä, onhan guardia civil ratsannut We Love Spacen kävijöitä siinä parkkipaikalla useasti (ja sama avoin meno jatkuu klubissa sisällä).

vai onko kyse siitä, että isommat disco-mafian (space, privilege, pacha, amnesia) miehet ovat jollain tapaa lyöttäytyneet kimppaan ja viranomaiset lahjomalla saaneet suljetuksi nuo paikat. onhan viime vuosien aikana laitettu jokunen klubi kiinni juuri "anniskelupien" tai muun hämärän syyn takia, mm. Pin-Up viime vuonna ja AK Morgana (myös tänä vuonna osittain). Lisäksi tän vuoden suljettujen tai muuten ongelmien takia tapetilla ovat olleet Bora Bora, KM5, DC10. Isompien iltamien kuten sunnuntain We Love @ Spacen bisnestä häiritsisi Bora Bora ja taasen maanantain Circo Loco -ilta DC 10:ssä haittaisi Manunmissionin toimintaa Privilegessä samana päivänä. myös näiden isojen klubien omistajat ovat nivoutuneet paljon muuhunkin bisnekseen saarella, mm. hotelleihin. näin niiden hotellinsa voi tehdä viranomaisille valituksen jos joku klubi haittaa heidän toimintaa & asiakkaita. ja jos valituksen mukana tulee ruskea kirjekuori & mainetta, guardia iskee!

mistä näistä tietää, onko mikään totta vai mikä on asian oikea laita??? näitä juttuja vaan liikkuu paljon ympäri saarta ja intter-webbeniä. ei kannata ottaa tosissaan siis :)

Olisiko Bora Bora turvattu ensi kesäksi? En usko ennen kuin näen -- tai ennen kuin mun poissaollessa joku tuttu näkee. Vähän ahisti, kun syyskuussa ei päässyt borailee t. nim. vuodesta 2001 jatkunut perinne katkesi...

Ja DC10:n lupien on parasta olla kunnossa tai ainakin Circo Locon auki! Kuten joku tuolla Spottarissa huomauttaakin, sen mestan melu ei tod. voi häiritä ketään, joten kyse täytyy olla maksuhaluttomuudesta viranomaisille. (Paikan päällä käymättömille tiedoksi, että DC 10 sijaitsee keskellä peltoa Ibizan lentokentän välittömässä läheisyydessä. Lähimpään ihmisasutukseen on väh. kilometri matkaa.)

Siis olihan se katettu jo viime kesänä, muistaakseni just tuolla aaltopellillä. Ongelma vain oli ratkaistu niin, että rakennuksen ylimmälle katolle oli tehty uusi terassi, jossa tosin soi vain chillimusiikki, muistaakseni.

Todistammeko varustelukierteen alkua: yläterassi katetaan -> uusi terassi pykätään vielä johkin kohtaan -> se terassi katetaan -> uusi rakennetaan jne? Jäämme kiinnostuneina odottamaan :)

viime kesana oli tallaista aaltopeltihassakkaa, mut nyt tulee siis kiintea katto.

eikö tuo petran ylempi kuva ole sieltä "taka-terassilta"? Siis se mikä ei ole joka kerta auki vaan aina silloin kun ne rakentaa sen?? Ei tuo ainakaan ole pääterassi, eikä yläterassi...

Nyt kun sanoit, en itse enää olisi kovin varma mikä kuva esittää mitäkin terassia. Onko "rakennuspiirustuksessa" katettuna mikä terassi, ja mitä terassia edes valokuva esittää? Ovat laittaneet ihme juhannuskoivuja estämään näkymät ulos. (Vaikea uskoa, että olisin käynyt Spacessa n. 10 kertaa... haloo... :D )

Joka tapauksessa Space ei ole nähnyt säännöllistä ulkoilmaklubbausta enää pariin vuoteen, mutta hyviä bileitä siellä on ollut edelleen. Ulkoilmaklubbauksen ehdoton ykkönen on Bora Bora ja kakkonen DC10, toivotaan että niiden ongelmat ovat ensi kesänä historiaa!

tuo rakennuspiirustus on mun miälest se pääterassi, joka oli jo tänä vuonna katettu kuten piirustuksessa seisoo.

Ibiza Superclubs Dismiss Disco Mafia Charges

A spokesman for Ibiza's superclub collective The Association of Nightclubs has rejected claims by Bora Bora's resident DJ Gee that they were behind the recent closures of clubs including Bora Bora, KM5 and beach bars including Sa Trinxa and Benirras, branding the allegations as "rubbish'.

"We have no interest in seeing legal venues closed down," he told DJ magazine. "The people who instruct and carry out the law in Spain are the authorities and not the nightclubs." ahem..........

Ibiza resident Smokin Jo, who's Djed and lived on the island for a number of years, told Skrufff she believes the closures reflect a broader pattern of gentrification.

"Time's are changing really, it seems like the local government want to make the island more like St Tropez and they don't want all the clubs and parties with all these monsters running around the island off their heads," said Jo.

"There's a huge apartment block being built next to Bora Bora and they're not going to be able to sell all the apartments with Bora Bora going on, so obviously they had to shut it," he suggested.

"I think the closures of all the small clubs could have a very detrimental effect, though I think things will turn out OK in the end. When things get pushed underground they always pop up again.

"The vibe's still the same in Ibiza but there's loads more apartment blocks and roads being built whether people protest about it or not. There are all these huge four lane carriageways there and you don't need them on a small island," she said.

"It's going to end up like Torremolinos if they're not careful."

Just wanted to let you lot know first of all.. before anyone else ;)

I am starting a new night in Ibiza this summer. I'm calling it 'VIVA'
Its going to be on thursday nights. I will be starting it around the 14th July through till the 8th September.

I will be doing the terrace with its new function1 sound system, at night time NOT DAYTIME! so this will be a totally different feel.. (cant wait) I'm bringing in guest to play along side me, which i cant mention at this point because there not confirmed yet, but rest assured they are QUALITY!.. I'm bringing in another resident along side my self and at this point it looks like its going to be DJ REMO from italy (resident @ pervert gold).. Inside I'm bringing Sasha in to do a residency bringing his Fundacion to Ibiza, and he will be bringing his warm up dj with him..
The club is going to be decorated to my taste so it looks a little different from usuall.. the terrace is going to be at NIGHT! and the residents are my self and sash... lots more to be confirmed.. VIVA LA HOUSE!!!!!!
