OBI BLANCHE BIO
Finnish, Berlin based artist Obi Blanche has traveled the venues of Europe during the past few years, offering clubbers unpredictable and rousing takes on danceable music.
Being an all-round musician, he has made his way through a wide array of instruments and styles, his main instrument being the guitar. As a teen he found turntablism, which started him producing beats. Since then he has continued to create music both by electronic and acoustic means, all the while playing in several bands prominently Ovali Virta and Pets on Prozac. This year he has been busy with two projects alongside his solo work as a producer and DJ, the fruits of which will be revealed in 2010.
In October 2009 New Judas released Obi Blanches remix of Les Gillettes track Pompeii, which got much praise and plays around the world. For example Erol Alkan listed the track second on his November Beatport chart.
