Third Point - Rendezvous remix competition, Wavedata Records 2008
*** The remix kit ***
The remix kit contains note data and rendered instruments.
All samples are rendered dry with a tempo of 140 bpm. You
may use any number of the samples in your remix, including
none.
The remix may be in all the most common electronic genres,
like melodic trance, tech trance, progressive trance, house, techno,
electro, etc. Criteria we found important is:
- Good themes and chord progressions (does not apply to some genres)
- Clean sound picture
- A good and intuitive arrangment
- Something that stands-out and make the track a bit special
Please note that all material in this remix kit is copyrighted
to Third Point and Wavedata Records and use of its content is limited
to remixes of Third Point - Rendezvous, only.
*** About the competition ***
The remix competition ends the 1st of March 2008. All contributions
must be sent to us before the end of this day using either
yousendit.com, sendspace.com or a similar free-share service.
(No preference is given for sending in your remix earlier.) Remixes
that are sent to us after this date will not be considered in this
competition.
We prefer mp3s with a quality of at least 192 kbps. Please include a text
file with your name, e-mail and eventually comments in your delivery. You
may enter the competition with two different remixes, but be sure you clearly
identify them, for instance; remix A and remix B.
There will be selected one winner and one runner-up (two different
artists). The two remixes will constitute the remix package of Rendezvous
and be released together with the original version in May 2008. The winner
will also get the opportunity to release one of his own tracks on Wavedata
Records during 2008 *.
Please do not share your remix before the winners of the competition have
been announced. Remixes that are shared will be discarded from the
competition.

The winner and runner-up will be announced on the Wavedata Records
website the 10th of March. The two artists of the selected remixes will
be contacted via e-mail.
