"Ekaterina" EP by Anton Fine is out now in digital.
There is three tracks on this particular release
and every single one of them is about a girl,
Ekaterina Sharkova. She moves like a dolfin,
she makes me wait and she really should lern Finnish.
This is the kind of little music collection, you
wish to give your raver-girlfriend as a gift for
Valentine's Day. Simple arrangements about love,
but still in good company with underground nabours.
This time around I jumped into a new area of electronic
expression by mixing house music with evergreen
synthpop, vocoded acappellas and groovy downtempo beats
with a pinch of acid jazz. In the process of mastering
I left some headroom and specially made it sound
acoustic, so I could bring a touch of reality back in
those compressed minimal techno surroundings of
present electronic music. I hope you will appreciate
my thoughts on current fashion in music and my small
efforts to make a u-turn. "Go back, back in the days."
My heroes of the past month have been Timberland,
Olav Basoski and Dave Armastrong. I have to thank
them for providing me with inspiration that I have
expressed on this release.
Release date 25.11.2007!
