"Daniel Achilles has been spinning house all over Scandinavia since the
late eighties. Among other things he was a recident at the legendary
Southside Garage in Sweden before it was shut down by the authorities. In
1994 he released his first 12" having only a year earlier co-founded the
Swedish label Dunkla Quality Recordings. The label later went on to win
the first ever award for 'best underground' at the Swedish Dance Music
Awards. Since then he has released material on labels such as Northbound,
Frunk and Southern Top, worked with people like Håkan Lidbo and Laid and
done remixes for several other large acts. After a four year break from
producing he's now working on some new material. Hopefully to be released
in early 2005.
But Daniel Achilles main focus has always been on spinning. Staying true
to his love for house, Daniel has over the years played his uplifting
disco-inspired and soulful house at clubs all over Scandinavia, UK and
US. From Monday Bar, Stockholm to Progress, Miami he has lifted many
dance floors. The past year has seen Daniel become one of the most booked
djs in Stockholm, with regular gigs at venues like Berns and Mondo.
Daniel has also played for several radio stations like Swedish National
Radio P3 and Miami based The Womb. Today he is also featured on many
websites dedicated to house, like www.istentodjs.com,
www.positivevibes.com and www.routesinrhythm.com."
