Born and raised in Providence, Rhode Island, DJ Ghost is third in a line of five DJs in her family. Since 1987, when first introduced to DJing in hip-hop fashion (the blend and cut), she has brought the flavors of todays hits, hip-hop, underground, old school, reggae, R&B, and classic house to the tables. The privilege of growing up in the 70s watching her grandfather play, taught her about the 40s, 50s, and 60s and expanded her knowledge of music and playing for the crowd.
Dubbed Mistress of the Blend, The Phenomenal Female and now The First Lady by her peers, Ghost has over 15 years of musical exposure to her credit including college radio, clubs, and mobile gigs. Her name describes the way in which she likes to project herself: her style of blends tends to sneak up on you.
Now a resident of Atlanta, DJ Ghost is making quiet but well felt moves as a member of 5 Star Generals, TastemakerDJs, an affiliate of the Awesome Two record pool (New Jersey/New York), and Million Dollar record pool (Atlanta.)
For DJ Ghost, fame is not the goal but the love for the culture and the art is the drive to excel to put keep hip hop in a respected light - not just a money maker.
