FRWRD - a sound system club brought to you by Ivah Sound, made for passionate bass music and sound system lovers. With influences from the sound system cultures of Jamaica and The United Kingdom they combine music with a heavyweight sound. FRWRD brings the party to a crowd hungry for mesmerizing experiences with performers both from Finland and abroad.

This time the party will be all about digital reggae. This style developed in Jamaica in the 80’s when the drum machines and synthesizers reached the island and became the new tools of music production. The sound has been developing ever since and it’s been playing a crucial part in sound system sessions all around the globe. Because of its hype and upliftment, that remind the listener about the shared roots of digital reggae and dancehall, on top of heavy bass lines and tuff kicks, it’s the perfect kind of music to be fulljoyed through a big stack of speakers. Our guest this time is one of the most groundbreaking producers and label owners in the digital dub scene, Riddim Tuffa from Scotland. Additionally Diegojah, one of Swedens finest mc’s / singers, will be providing lyrical niceness with a live set supported by Vilhelm from Tulitauko Sound / Riddim Station.

Previous guests have included a wide range of mc’s such as Robert Lee, Daddy Freddy, Earl 16 and Kenny Knots or producers like Mungo's Hi-Fi, Benny Page, OBF, Radikal Guru and Jahtari proving their love of digital dub and its multitude of mutations. Riddim Tuffa’s studio production is heavily influenced by the 1980′s digital style. By combining the use of vintage, analogue equipment and modern recording techniques, the crew produce an extremely fresh sound that holds on to the roots of dancehall music. Their label Tuffa Dubs Records features a wide range of collaborations with Jamaican legends such as Little Kirk, Lt. Stitchie, Gosple Fish and the new generation of artists like King General, Solo Banton, El Fata and Diegojah to name a few. Since 2011 the duo have released several vinyls on their own label and their productions have featured on labels like Super Fly Records and Vibration Lab.
