Sunrise loves Helsinki! Summer season opening party with Daniel Kandi!!
SUNRISE MAINSTAGE:
Daniel Kandi [Anjunabeats, DK]
Daniel Kandi is undoubtedly one of the biggest up and coming trance producers to emerge from Europe.
Above & Beyond was quick to react to Daniel Kandi's VERY first demo in 2006, and signed it straight away. Breathe became Daniel's first single on one of the biggest trance labels in the world Anjunabeats. The release was a smash hit globally and charted high on online shops and was caned by Above & Beyond, Judge Jules, Armin Van Buuren, Ronski Speed and many more.
His following Anjunabeats releases - Child/Nova, Make Me Believe/I Found The Way and Turnmills/Soraya on Fundamental all took top 5 and top 10 placements on the Trance Charts online, and gained support from the biggest names in the business.
As a remixer he is in high demand by leading DJs and record labels around the globe. Luke Warner & Mat Lock - Deep Psychosis (Daniel Kandi's Cure Mix) entered the ASOT radio show with promising words from Armin van Buuren. The following week the track featured as, TUNE OF THE WEEK, and the week after 'FUTURE FAVORITE'; even being played on ASOT 350, live from Belgium. Even prior to that, it was a tune that got many "what is this" requests during Armins last US-tour..! Suddenly back in the top 20 on Beatport.com more than 6 months after its release, Armin Only made a lot of new people aware of the tune and the brilliant producer-skills this guy has.
Upcoming events this year include the Anjunabeats 100 party @ Syndicate in Blackpool, Club-Rehab @ The Arches in Glasgow alongside Jon O'bir and Re-Ward, Luminosity @ the beach in Zandwoort, NL, alongside the likes of Airbase, Kyau & Albert, DJ Shah, Mat Zo and many more. In addition the hugely anticipated Global Gathering Poland with more than 20,000 people in attendance went down a treat for the young Dane. The trance tent in which Kandi played, went from a slow night to pure euphoria as he delivered one of the best energy-packed 1-hour sets in the trance tent. Just check out the clips from YouTube, and you will be convinced about his ability.
Surely this young man is on his way into the DJ Mag top 100 within very few years, and with loads of gigs around the globe to follow; Watch Out!

Zwek & D.N.A [Sunrise / I Love Kiksu]
Zwek & D.N.A two well established DJ's in Finland with a colorfull history in the Finnish club scene, broke the bank in the year 2005 as they teamed up to form a killer DJ collective which in essence describes all that is Sunrise. Their collaboration is an unique blend of their styles of progressive and full-on trance.

Unlive LIVE [Sunrise]
Unlive was formed in 2002 by two of the members, Jaakko Vikman and Henry Ahokas, to be later joined by our guitar player (Pekka Palmu) in 2003. With various backgrounds in music we started slowly to develop our own sound, the sound of Unlive. This collaboration turned out to produce melodic soft psy- trance with a kind of a funky approach and not to forget the beautiful guitar leads by Pekka.
Producing wast amounts of songs Unlive has actually never released any albums (only some mp3 releases and some tracks in VA collections), and by this contributing to the fact that you never know exactly what you are gona get when Unlive steps on stage. Unlive has performed in numerous parties in Finland since 2002.
Mr. Sinner [Sunset]
Altough Mr. Sinner is a relatively new name, he has stirred up quite a reputation for himself in a short time, most of it promoting the spinoff club of Sunrise called Club Sunset, during which he has played alongside many Finnish Dj's. The future seems bright for this young talented DJ/Producer who also spends lots of time in his studio. You can be sure to hear great things from this guy in the near future!
