Jos nyt se Wez Clarke tosiaan tulisi, eikö viimeksi peruuttanut? Ja hyvä, että Luxiin siirtyy, tuolla KY:llä ei uskaltanut käydä katsomassa HK-bileitä kun teinixit kaiketi vallanneet paikan.

Eipä oo ennenkään estänyt, aina ne jostain sinne sikiää.

Uskon että Hed Kandi on löytänyt nyt oikean paikan. Porukka on kuitenkin paljon vanhempaa mitä KY-klubissa oli joten mielenkiinnolla odotan perjantaita.
Pikkulinnut lauloivat että LUXilla jotain vippibilettä siinä pohjalla joten jengiä kuulemma tulossa hyvin.

About Wez Clarke

It was the electro house sound of the early nineties that first lured Wez Clarke into the ever evolving world of dance music. After many a late night spent listening to local pirate radio stations that were his only source of this new music at the time, he was inspired to buy a set of cheap turntables and a mixer, and by the tender age of 12 had taught himself to mix. Wez soon ventured into the world of music production and has always viewed the two arts of DJing and Producing as one. Through hard work and talent, together with many, many hours spent behind the decks practising, Wez gained guest DJ spots at local venues and rapidly gained a reputation for his ability to get a crowd rocking.

The late nineties saw Wez’s career as a producer take off, with his first single; Headhuntaz “Rip The Freestyle”, going on to become an all time classic in the speed garage world. This first release was on the now infamous Speed Freak Records that Wez set up together with his brother at the age of just 17.

As the house sound quickly evolved, so too did Wez’s style. By the turn of the Millenium, the early electro sound that had first inspired him to start making music had come back round in a new form and Wez found himself playing and producing electronic house. Producing under his monikor of Squint, he had huge success with singles such as “What Can I Do?” and “What Is Electro?”, which both gained huge support from a broad range of DJs including Seb Fontaine, Timo Maas, James Zabiela, Zane Lowe, DJ Chloe, Plump DJs, Hybrid, Touche, Lucien Foort, Anne Savage, etc. “What Can I Do?” was on the daytime playlist of BBC Radio 1 for over a month and gained Wez a huge amount of exposure as an artist. Exposure that led to remix work for other high profile artists such as Annie Lennox and Moloko.

Wez also had massive success in 2003 with his Daft Punk influenced funky house track “Itll Be Ok” on Ink Records, which with the added strength of remixes from heavyweights MJ Cole and Paul Woolford, went on to reach top 5 in the Upfront Club and Cool Cuts charts, and narrowly missed out on a place in the National Top 40.

More recently Wez has remixed tracks for the likes of; Fragma (Toca's Miracle - forthcoming on Positiva Records), Dave Armstrong ("Love Has Gone"...number 1 in the Official UK Dance Top 40), Dynamite, Sunset Strippers, Solu Music, Nate James, Raul Rincon, Switch, Shiny Grey, Mason and DONS. He was also one half of the duo behind the massive “Wilder & Clarke EP” on Hed Kandi Records which contained the singles "Stand Up" (featuring Katherine Ellis on vocals) and the classic Wilder & Clarke Remix of Shiny Grey’s “Why”.

Since 2005 Wez has been a worldwide resident DJ for Hed Kandi which has given him the amazing opportunity to play at most major clubs in the UK including Ministry Of Sound (London), Pacha (London), Gatecrasher (Sheffield), Discotheque (Leeds), Digital (Newcastle), The Arches (Glasgow), Canvas (London), Brunel Rooms (Swindon), Ice Factory (Perth), as well as high profile clubs in Miami, Holland, Colombia, Germany, Turkey, Spain, Ireland, France, Russia, Greece, Kos, Zante, Crete, Magaluf, Tenerife, Egypt, Monaco, Norway, Japan, Singapore, Poland, Finland, Jordan, Switzerland and Brazil.

Forthcoming projects from Wez include solo releases on Hed Kandi Records, Boss Records and French label Nu Records, as well as a hectic remix and DJ schedule. His collaboration with Maxine Hardcastle; "Another Chance" is also due out on Hed Kandi records very soon. Wez has also been busy making the music for hit TV show "Make Me A Supermodel" which is being aired in the USA on Bravo from January 2008.

...pitää tulla LUX:ssä käymään ihan mielenkiinnosta, nää bileet ei oo toiminu millään venuella oikein ollenkaan. Bileet itsessään ei tuo väkeä ja monelle baarille ko. bileet on aivan väärän tyyppiset - ehkä tämä LUX yhteityö toimii...

joopajoo, eipä kauaa jaksanu. Kolmas kerta ja eiköhän tää nyt jääny tähän.

Moi,

täällä kannattaa käydä, jos pidät housesta ja et halua pentuja samaan paikkaan. Paikan vaihdos oli loistava, vaikken käynytkään KY:ssä sen kanta-asiakassegmentin vuoksi kertaakaan. Alakerran RnB tosin veti enemmän porukkaa kuin house. Hyvä niin, lattialle mahtui.

Illan sankari oli kaveri, joka otti DJ-kopin vierellä olevassa mustassa käytävässä matsia kokoisestaan kaverista ohikulkutilanteessa. Alkuhuitomisen ja tönimisen jälkeen kaveri päätti luovuttaa vahvemmalleen ja antaa tietä. Toinenkin leppyi ja alkoi kohteliaisuuskisa. Jossain vaiheessa kaveri tajusi kinanneensa mustan peilikuvansa kanssa... mutta onneksi tyyppi ei ollut ensimmäistä kertaa labyrintissa vaan jatkoi ulosetsimistä iskemällä käden seinään ja seuraten seinää irroittamatta otettaan seinästä...

Tästä on hyvä jatkaa Hypeen...

Paikka vaihtui, yleisö vaihtui, mutta bileet ei vaan tunnu paranevan. Olikohan tämä nyt 4. paikka missä uutta alkua yritetään (?) Teinejä ei tosissaan näkynyt, mutta keski-ikä tuntui nouseen ehkä liikaakin. En tiedä mitkä insinööritoimiston vip-bileet siellä oli pohjilla ennen hed kandia, mutta kohde yleisöä ne ei kyllä olleet. Enkä tajua miten lil tonyn deep-minimal-mikälie-setti kuului hed kandi-nimen alle, mutta onneksi Wez Clarke soitti sitä mitä pitikin , pisteet siitä. Minusta paikan jatkuva vaihtaminen tuntuu lähinnä kuolleille bileille tekohengityksen antamiselta, mutta järjestäjiä ei kyllä voi syyttää ainakaan uskonpuutteesta. Toivotaan että se vielä kääntyy voitoksi.
