DJ TONY ENGLISH BIOGRAPHY:

Tony has been at the forefront of London’s underground dance music and breaking new indepedent house music every week on his globally recognised radio show. Tony has earned significant respect amongst the music arena for his significant sound and championed radio show. Working along with Roger Sanchez, Frankie Knuckles, Chus & Ceballos, D Ramirez, Harry Romero, Tiefschwarz….and many more which clearly states the place Tony English is now positioned at…Tony has also developed into the voice of radio and is responsible for many great audio adverts across the London radio network including London's Kiss 100 and has recently been visually hosting PushTV, a TV concept reporting live from global dance music events then transported across various media platforms.

Tony plays at London's biggest gay parties working with ex Salvation promoter Alex Erfan locking Tony as a resident for at Lovechild (Pacha), Hustlaball (Renaissance Rooms), guesting at SuperMartXe and touring the globe with Polysexual club giants Pushca. All this in addition to guesting at Fire, Heaven, Ministry Of Sound, Fabric, Turnmills, The End, EGG and previous guesting for the Blue Cube group. Tony has recently signed up to a European Spring & Summer tour for Ibiza’s very own Bora Bora with confimed dates in Italy and Turkey so far...

Initially starting off on the tail end of the 1980’s, he was introduced to the Acid house movement whilst being influenced the likes of The Happy Mondays, New Order, Depeche Mode. Whilst on tour with a friends band, Tony met with Paul Oakenfold, Danny Rampling, Roy ‘The Roach’ and Nicky Holloway. So as youth culture in the UK changed, the world of Balearica algorithms began for Tony…at the tender age of 14.

The end of the 1990’s saw Tony playing in venues such as Hanover Grand, The Gala (Birmingham), Legends, Club UK and The Leisure Lounge. During this time, he was introduced to Interface (Internet's first pirate radio station). It was here he developed his playing and presenting skills to a mass audience of over 100, 000 listeners per show. It was the late 90’s when his sound began to change and mixed with his influence of his Cypriot heritage, he became more engrossed with the sounds across Europe. His stints playing in Europe over the past decade has been an immense influence on his sound today.

In 2001 Tony was snapped up by Trance giants Wildchild where he began to take centre stage at many UK events (indoor and out) along with Lisa Lashes, Matt Hardwick, John Kelly, Trisco and many more. Tony's experience, knowledge has developed increasingly and then started seeing him play more International dates in many major cities across the global dance floor. His explosive radio shows has landed him playing regular dates in venues The Cross (London), Pacha (London), Ministry of Sound, EGG and others, also playing in cities London - Ibiza, Miami - Russia, Ireland - Cyprus alongside many headliners from Marhall Jefferson, Tedd Paterson through to Sander Kleinenburg.

Tony’s influence on pushing new house music has been a thriving success, welcoming many global artists to join him onto his International radio show. With the likes of Roger Sanchez, Wally Lopez, Alfredo, Danny Howells, Tom Stephan, Mark Knight, Harry 'Choo Choo' Romero, Chus & Ceballos, Jellybean Benitez, Tiefschwarz, Frankie Knuckles, Alex Neri, Bob Sinclar, D Ramirez, Angel Moraes, Timo Maas, DJ Gregory, Seamus Haji, Danny Howells and all support and respect the power and ability Tony English has created.

In 2006, after closing the global recognized HouseFM which he was managing for 3 years, he then opened up (which he still co-manages) PushFM; a radio station that has fast taken over the popularity his previous project was. Global house music giants Azuli also snapped up Tony where he features on their London events, inclusing 7 continuous dates at the notorious Cross nightclub before its closure in 2007. Working at Club Azuli saw Tony work along with Danny Rampling, Norman Jay, Seamus Haji, Joe T Vanelli, Kurd Maverick, ATFC, Full Intention, Alan Braxe, Dirty South, Deadmau5, Audiofly, Tom Novy, Laidback Luke, Sandy Rivera and others. 2007 also landed Tony with an exclusive compilation deal for the Nissan Europe, providing the official soundtrack for the Qashqai jeep conference…released in January 2007.

During this time Tony signed up with clublands notorious promoters Pushca...where he's a main feature for Pushca London events to sold out crowds of over 1000 per event at varied events across London, Malta, NYC, Ibiza, Ireland, also playing him at their UK festivals alongside Mark Ronson to dates in Ireland, Ibiza and Europe.
