METAVERSE - ALBUM
Metaverse is DJ Orkidea's second artist album. It features the classic dancefloor burners YearZero, Killa and Requiem, collaborations with trance heavyweights Solarstone, David West and Lowland and a new 12 minute epic remix of Nightwish's Bye Bye Beautiful. Metaverse is Orkidea's definition of trance: hypnotic, driving, melodic and atmospheric. The album is out on the 5th of March 2008 - available in all good record stores around the world and digitally from iTunes and Beatport.com.

METAVERSE - TOUR
Metaverse continues the legacy of Taika and A Place Called Happiness tours. The tour is produced by the chilled-out guys at Misc. Management in co-operation with the most dedicated promoters around the country at some very fine venues. Metaverse is Orkidea's first live tour. He will be performing 12 laptop live sets featuring the best of his old productions, material from the new album and exclusive new remixes. Also involved are Finland's finest DJs who have been touring all over the country, producing and releasing underground music and promoting their own events for years - individuals who are simply living their passion for the music they love.

METAVERSE - YOU
This tour is still all about you. You, creating the atmosphere, filling the dancefloor, finding likeminded people and throwing your hands in the air when you feel like it. Share your Metaverse tour experience by uploading your photos to www.djorkidea.com, sending videos to our YouTube channel, checking Orkidea's blog and joining the community at www.irc.fi/djorkidea. Metaverse will also launch a voice blog on IRC-gallery sharing the tour atmosphere from foggy afterparties, backstages, tour vehicles and directly from the stage during the whole tour.

The Metaverse tour will have lots of community features on the web. Get together with the whole crowd of like-minded people and share your best photos, videos and experiences from the tour. Here is small package of information how to share your digi content with everyone else.

IRC-GALLERY

IRC-Gallery has a nice community build around Metaverse @ www.irc.fi/djorkidea . You can listen through the whole Metaverse album (starting Wednesday 27.02), check the Metaverse trailer and discuss with other clubbing minded people. The community also has a competition in which you can win two VIP tickets and hotel accommodation to the Laserpoint event (www.laserpoint.fi) at Kaapelitehdas. IRC-gallery also streams Orkidea's album release gig live from Kaivohuone. Big thanks to techno loving bosses at IRC-Gallery!

YOUTUBE VIDEOS

If you’re shooting videos at the event, you can easily share them at the tour website, opening soon at www.djorkidea.com . At YouTube, join DJ Orkidea's group http://www.youtube.com/group/djorkidea and add your videos there. Remember to mention in which event your video was filmed. The videos will be added to the Tour Video Player on the tour website.

FLICKR PHOTOS

Those interested in photography can add their best photos to Flickr ( www.flickr.com ). The service is totally free to use. Just give your Metaverse photos a tag “metaverse_tour” and “orkideaxxxxxxx” in which “xxxxxxx” means the date when the photos were taken - for example “orkidea19042008″. Correctly tagged photos will automatically be added to the Tour Gallery.
