Last Screen event at Ravintola Kaivohuone?
Might be. Since Autumn 2000, 32 international deejays have
rocked the dancefloor of Ravintola Kaivohuone in 25 Screen
events. The Finnish national ballet dancers, Finnish breakdance
champions, capoeira fighters, oriental dancers, magician plus
many other performers have also entertained the eyes of
thousands of Screen visitors who joined us during these years.
We are more than grateful and wish to thank every single person
who visited Screen and made all this possible.

The future?
After the last of the eight experiences in this season - called
"The Final Experience" - Screen team is going to explore the
minds of the Finnish club folks again and continue the endless
search of the ultimate club experience. When and where will the
next experience be, will be announced as soon as we have
decided the direction Screen will be heading next.

>> Max Graham, Canada
We're on a platform 45 feet above the 15 000+ crowd at the
closing party to Montreal's 2000 end-of-summer Cream Festival.
The crowd seems to be almost entirely shirtless - bodies packed
in tight, faces shining with sweat. Three girls in tiny matching gold
outfits are ripping moves on a scaffolding, their timing tight and
their hair flying. Hope Recordings' Leon Alexander is videotaping
the scene, but can't seem to focus on one thing before something
catches his attention. Darren Emerson and Dave Ralph look up
from a conversation beside the booth speakers to point at a slick
scantily-clad girl surfing across the top of the crowd, legs in the
air and red g-string exposed. Firecrackers explode out of the roof,
raining stars as the beat climbs then crashes. Max Graham is
behind the decks, his arms folded calmly across his chest and his
eyes shrewdly scanning the chaos as the place falls apart,
wearing a small half-smile that says "Yeah… I know..."

>> Iaido demonstration by Ki-Ken-Tai Icchi Ry
Iaido is maybe best translated into "Japanese Swordsmanship".
Iaido is a very traditional Budo art and was developed from
samurai practicing for combat. They not only practiced techniques
for using the sword but also how to judge situations and
opponents under all possible circumstances. To do this in a fast
correct way was very important for becoming a skilled (and alive)
warrior.

>> Dancers Virve, Inka, TBA & TBA
As always, we bring you dancers to feed your eyes. Two girls and
two boys, something for everyone! Virve, better known as the
other half of the famous Nexus dancers has performed in Screen
many times as well as always so beautiful Inka. For the girls, Kidi
and Teppo, will definitely take care of the female visitors.

>> Tomi K
Interest in music has probably always been there, but Tomi
started DJ'ing in the local youth house when he was only 13
(-87). His style then wasn't really understood among other
teenagers, Europe and Bon Jovi were rockin' the parties back
then. He kept on playing and listening to rap, electronica and
other black music...

>> Hiski & Pinnie
Hiski & Pinnie represent the new generation of DJs from the
north. The enthusiasm for the electronic music for these boys
started back in the beginning of 90's. Listening hip hop, acid
house, tekno, electro and pioneers like Richie Hawtin, Sven Väth
Jeff Mills gave the right direction to go for the boys when they
took their first steps into the dark side of the electronic music...
