TAKOMO PERCUSSION
After Talent - Finland many finnish people knew us, so Takomo Percussion made a huge show concert "Atomic Drums of the Deep Ocean" in January 2010 which was sold out and a huge succes.
Throughout 2010 Takomo Percussion have performed many different concerts all around Finland. The "Atomic Drums of the Deep Ocean" has been the main concept of these concerts. Visualisation at concerts is one of our trade marks, wich includes moving lights and smoke. These are huge and important effects while creating the right atmosphere to support our music. Also we use pile of electronic devices, such as synthesizers, samplers and pre-recorded background tapes.
All these elements, such as varying music genres, all percussions around the world, visualisation and sound reproduction together makes the Takomo Percussion.
Tonight we offer you a long-awaited stage show. Moving further from the Atomic Drums, we have created a set that revolves around oldskool goa sound mixed with live mallet instruments and hand percussion. All of the music is completely new. This is your change to see Takomo Percussion in a club environment and dance to our energetic rhythms.
DJ MEKE [Force]
Always having been deeply in love with all things of hard sounds, Meke has been widely known in Finland since he started djing year 1999 as one of these few DJs remaining faithful to the roots of rave music. Arguably the best old school rave DJ in the country, Meke always played a lot of true hard trance classics and 90´s rave sound in his sets, giving people a lovely glimpse of the music which started it all. That does not mean though that Meke is just an old beard, stuck in the past. Constantly evolving along with dance music, this extremely talented DJ not only skillfully combines hard trance, UK hardcore & hard dance, Meke is also responsible for bringing makina to Finland, being only one spinner in the country playing this exciting Spanish form of hard trance. Not only the regular DJ, sometimes Meke likes to bring some new twist to his set, using the microphone as MC to make people go completely loco. So you can be sure, Meke will definitely not leave you unsatisfied.
Meke is holding long term residencies at Force and Battle Royale nights, being part of Dancewise / S|deffect roster. He also hosted monthly show at famous Digitally Imported radio (DI.fm) over 3 years. From time to time, he continues to make new mixtapes to DI.fm.
He has performed events such as Säde, Flashback in Poland, Tidy: Finland, Storm: Finland, Fury, Innowation, Force & Madwave vs. Finrg.
During the years, Meke has been playing alongside such names as Proteus, Karim, Eryk Orpheus, Lee Haslam, Amber D, Phil Reynolds, Jimmy Dean, Garbo and Carbon Based to mention a few.
So if you are up to hard vibes - Meke will deliver!
