It's just 10 minutes past 23, but TW house dancefloor is packed to the maximum. Still, people keep flooding in, making the room one alive breathing dancing paradise, filled with smiles, beautiful faces and true party vibe. Two guys behind the decks spinning stunning electro back to back are the reason of that positive clubbing madness. Their names are Shaun M and Kieron Gallagher, for last two years widely known across the United Kingdom as highly demanded dj duo - FUNKEDUP DJs.
It all started off for them at small second dancefloors of middle size clubs. Soon promoters have realized that the miracle behind the packed house floors are Funkedup Djs. Bookings started to flow in, and finally, boys have been asked for a gig at massive Tidy Weekender festival. That appeared to be the ultimate turning point of Funkedup DJs career. Shortly after that, gig feedback from nation's clubbers flew into Tidy management ears, and Funkedup duo got rebooked for next TW. And next. And the one after. Finally they've became exclusive residents for that almighty
brand.
During last 12 months more amasing things has happened to Shaun and Kieron. Producing wise they have remixed timeless Brother Brown - Under the water into smashing intelligent electro monster, and also made some highly successful own choons, such as "Press Shift". They have also made their debute season on world's clubbing paradise island - Ibiza, spinning sold out gigs at Priviledge, Eden and Es Paradis. With second Ibiza season already booked on, combined with busy UK gig calendar, 2008 looking to be best year so far for FUNKEDUP DJs, setting them firmly on the map of global clubbing scene as one of the most exciting dj acts around. San Mejor have been organising Lick! club for the past 1,5 years, which have been full of unforgettable memories. We have seen and heard some of Finland's best DJs and a truly international and warm party atmosphere on every club night.
This summer, however, San Mejor is moving to Helsinki, putting the so far highly successful club concept on pause. For the last Lick! party, San Mejor is planning to deliver a special peformance with the sound that you would not normally hear from him. Not to spoil a surprise, let's just say that during the last hour of Lick! party the music will go waaay above 150 beats per minute. ;)
