Just wanted how the Binary Finary would be in freeform. Not done yet.. It still sounds muddy in some parts.

I'd be glad if you drop your opinion here (:

Sounds good mate.

You should try to get the bass sound more like a bass. Now it sounds a little thin. Maybe some eq'ing will do the trick. And I suggest that you add more percussions, some background loops for example, to fatten the track even more.

Otherwise it's just fine. :) Holler when it's ready, I wanna hear it.

Ok title should be 1998 (99or 2000 pretends witch version u prefer) that the name of song made by binary finary.

I liked the 1999 hard trance feeling in bassline and lab-4ish kick and addons. This song is one of my alltime favourite trance songs and i have to tell that this remix was good cos it brings the energy of melody better in your face than in 140bom versions.

Im not totally sure about that main melody lead sound tho. I can hear in my head how supersaw lead by dumonde would sit better in freeform remix (like in 2000 remix by dumonde).

Thanks for those comments.
Best version for me was 2001 cos of it's arpeggio melody which gives more energy to the track.
The melody lead on my remix is awful I know and I'm really going to take some time for it. I made it very quick.

As for the bassline I lowered the master of it meaning it's too loud. I'll raise it up a bit. Also I cutted the lows on master eq pretty much to avoid getting track even muddier.

Cheers :)

This is definitely an interesting idea to remix the classic, and I think you`ve successed pretty well. Here are some ideas I came up with when listening the track:

As Alchemiist said, the bass needs more lower frequencies. Maybe try layering the bass.. I mean you could try adding a whole new sub-bass to be played with the bassline that is there now. And find the right EQ-adjustments to make them work together as one.

About the lead-melody, I personally think it would sound nicer, if you let that arp play so that it doesn`t stop every once in a while. But that is only my opinion, and I´m sure many people like it just the way it is. But still the lead-synth needs to be more massive and I`m sure You`ll find a way to make it more fat with small amount of work.

Let us know, when the track is complete, I`m looking forward to hear it :)

Thanks Cyrez!

I'm planning to put the bass in previous form but the track sounded even muddier.
I need to know how to cut frequencies with eq so the sounds dont mess with each other when playing together.

I also had in mind to connect the melody but it didn't sound as good as it does with short pauses.
Also the lead fatness is already in the making.

I'll gladly inform you when it's done *nauru*

I'm listening to this through sony mdr-xd200 headphones so I'm not sure of how your mix translates to these.
Firstly my attention goes for the the nice powerful kick. It has bottom, but doesn't make track muddy. The open hat is imo too loud. It strains bit my ears. Like some people told the bassline is bit too thin and lacks lower frequencies. At about 0:50 beginning sound is panned too hard on the right. It sounds bit loose from the mix. (At least with these headphones.) The 1:39 beginning distorted sound is cool in my opinion like also 1:50 starting melody. The pads or strings sound tranquil (Which is positive at least imo) :-) The lead is also good, but I agree with Cyrez about that lead shouldn't have pauses. I would put more effort to the vocals compositionwise. I would like to hear more harmonic composition in that. Maybe gating the vocals would sound interesting? All in all nice work :-p Hope to hear the ready version also..
