Waveshaper

Recently we received mysterious radio transmissions from the year 1984. From what we discovered within the encoded radio signals, a brilliant scientist somehow discovered a way to transmit audio signals into the future using high tech radio telecommunication parts and a broken ARP 2600 synthesizer. After years of trying to bend space and time to achieve time travel, this scientist succeeded in sending audio waves into the future. We only know this scientist by his radio call sign — Waveshaper.

Robert Parker

Not much is known about what happened to Robert Parker. Originally an American fighter pilot living a jet-set life, it is said he disappeared in 1989 during a stealth bomber test mission. Unverified sources say that when he reached the sonic boom, he suddenly vanished from all radar communication never to be seen again. A numerous amount of cassette tapes were discovered in his home after his disappearence. Tapes containing music made with analog synthesizers. But this was the end of the eighties, and it was all about Grunge and CD records. The tapes were forgotten for almost twenty-five years. Then suddenly, a few years back, his tapes have mysteriously reappeared and various reports have indicated that Robert Parker is alive and well, and doesn't seem to have aged a day...

With local synthwave stars:
NightStop

NightStop hails from Jyväskylä, Finland to bring you fresh new retro 80's electric sounds.

Music is strongly influenced by blast from the 80's cyberpunk movies, videogames and beautiful girls with big hair.

NightStop is specifically intended for your hifi stereo casetteplayer as you drive your Ferrari F40 into Miami nights.

STARFORCE

Starforce has been around since early 2012. Kim Lakefield and Chris Highlander needed an 80s-sounding name to match the feel of the sound they produced and after several alternatives had been discarded, the two settled on STARFORCE.

The music itself is inspired by the 80s. But Starforce also draws inspiration from new artists producing retro sound. Starforce is constantly trying to let the sound evolve. The music varies from lighter tunes like "Future Romance" to darker tunes like "Oblivion". The sound often has a space-synth twist.

Starforce's sound consists of deep melodic lines with old school drums where they together create a unique atmosphere, which sends the listener through a tunnel in space and time to the 80s.
