WE LIKE is a brand new club concept which is set on promoting quality underground house and techno to the masses, with no concessions to the commercial mainstream. Taking place at Venue in Helsinki - widely regarded as the best club around - the bi-monthly night has big plans to bring some seriously acclaimed talents to town, taking things a bit deeper than what’s currently on offer in the city.

The night kicks off on March 17th with 303lovers / Hotfingers main man Manuel De La Mare, who’ll be showing off the skills that won him a Beatport Best Remixer of 2011 nomination, while Italian genius Stefano Noferini returns to Helsinki on May 5th after smashing to bits Danceteria last Autumn.

WE LIKE it’s what Helsinki’s been waiting for...

Tuscan born producer and dj, Manuel De Le Mare has spent the past 24 months delivering money-shot releases and remixes, whilst marrying a lifetime of passion and dedication to his love of DJing. This ability within his musical sphere has pricked the interest of global artists like Mark Knight, John Acquaviva and Feddle Le Grand who have all requested his studio talents, whilst leading Beatport to bestow him the award of Best Remixer 2011, a suitable follow up on his nomination for Best Deep House and Techno Artist back in 2010.

WE LIKE got a chance to interview Manuel De La Mare:


WL: You have been nominated (again) @ Beatport Awards for the "top remixer of the year" award. It seems like your career as a DJ and producer is going up all the time and never coming down. How do you do that?

MDLM: I’m very grateful for that recognition. The music is my lifetime passion and every time when I am in the studio I give all the effort to make the best sound. For me when you do anything with real love and people feel that, you become a winner.


WL: Many people are saying that house music is going thru it's 2nd renaissance. What do you think about that?

MDLM: I think is always been strong, but well now from the underground to the mainstream there are some house beats everywhere, let's say that is getting more influential on different levels.


WL: Have you been to Helsinki before? What do you know about the city?

MDLM: No, I have never been there but I have heard about the unique architectures and great people.


WL: What can we expect from your set @ WE LIKE?

MDLM: I prefer taking the moment, so I don't plan what to play from beginning till end. It depends 100% on the audience’s mood at the moment, but for sure you can expect good music!WL: Say your regards for the Finnish fans (you have a lot of them)?I love ya guys and I’ll make the best party for you. All I want to say is be real, spontaneous and take all you want of life. And keep appreciating good music.
