Valtakunta is an event like no other.
It is a platform space of innovative collaborations in the underground contemporary and independent artistic cultures and self expression, where the producers are as much in key roles, as the receiving audience.
The whole dream is about synergy and interactive dynamics with every person present. Valtakunta is for and about the people, and individuals from the musicians, and visual artists, to the organizers, but mainly the audience. People that are merged together trough the spectrum of various self expressive mediums, cultures, and an uncompromising strive to seek for something more and to find new ways to look beyond of what the commercial world has to offer.
The festival will combine different insights and innovation, but artwise three main elements can be mentioned; Music and experimental audible art, Visual pieces with various different mediums, and installations with audiovisual video art and experimental movies.
The art exhibitions will combine from the works of Jaakko Rantanen, Arto Karvonen, and Olli-Pekka Lappalainen. Videoarts will be produced by Varpu Lehtomäki, Sami Sanpäkkilä, Markus Rautaniemi, Anssi kasitonni, and Jyrki Kanto.
Musicly the festival is going to concentrate on more contemporary and experimental sound. The event will open space for styles and genres of music, that are more or less in the offside and underground. The somewhat combining ideology is a progressive self expression and unbribable will to search for an own place far from the commercial spotlights of this world.
The style spectrum respects marginal cultures.
The Valtakunta - festival has a privilege to host several musical adventurers. The names aren't in the leading roles, although the lineup consists of a broad variety of well known performers.

GoGo Exit,Matti P, DJ Beyond, Deepsea Submarines, Skinfiltr8r (Holland), Tonedial, Joose Keskitalo, Dj Plankton aka.Kiltit ihmiset, Tero64, Mesak, DJ Escher, Askeetti, 16 the sound dj's (Nverfind and Blissett371), KR78 and Wintermute. Stylewise we will flow from the profound ug-athmo-hiphop, deep beats and poetry, experimental live, folk and acoustic performances, more organic vocal music, to deep electronic beats, sinewaves and djsets, all the way to banging oldschool eöectro, dance and drum `n' bass.
The most interesting thing is nobody can imagine or say really, what this level of collaborations will look, hear, or even feel like, and the whole pallet of various elements of this concept will be in grater hands.
The festival at Palatsi, Turku starts on Friday, 20:00 and will continue all the way till 03:00. On Saturday the doors will open 18:00 and the Showtime is 20:00. The music will go on till late Sunday morning.
Tickets will be 6 e/one day and 10 e/ two days.
