Münchenissä on kuulemma ihan mukava yöelämä. Kannattaa käydä katsomassa techno.de sivuilta kalenterista tapahtumat kaupungeittain. Sieltä pääsee myös klubien omille kotisivuille kätevästi!

Myös nightlife-muenchen.de sivuilta saattaa löytää infoa bileistä!

oon asustellut muutaman kuukauden Münchenin vieressä, mutten ole vielä ehtinyt tutustumaan kys. kaupungin yöelämään... Kunstpark Ost on kuulemma kuitenkin tutustumisen arvoinen paikka eli Ostbahnhof:lla oleva alue jossa on klubeja joka makuun ja toi goa-temppelikin sijaitsee siellä. Prinz-lehdestä löytyy myös menovinkkejä Müncheniin ja Partysan- lehti, jota saa useimmista levy- ja vaatepuodeista tiedottaa myös klubiuutisia ja mainostaa tapahtumia. (www.partysan.de)

Itse olin kesän 2001 siellä. Paljon on muuttunut sen jälkeen mutta olen yrittänyt pysyä jotenkin ajan tasalla. München ei valitettavasti ole mikään Saksan teknomekka, mutta kyllä sielläkin jotain tapahtuu. Yleisesti kaupungin tapahtumat kannattaa tsekata In-Muenchen -lehdestä tai nettisivuilta [url]http://www.in-muenchen.de.[/url] Lisäksi http://www.techno.de ja http://www.partysan.de tarjoavat tarpeellisen bileinfon.

Klubit:

- Tsekattavan arvoinen teknoklubi: Electric Delicate (http://www.electric-delicate.de). Toimii tilassa nimeltä Club am Nachtwerkgelände. Lähellä Donnersbergerbrüggeä.

- Palais lähellä Hauptbahnhofia on uusi paikka, josta en tiedä sen enempää. Tapahtumia siellä näkyy ainakin riittävän. Lisäksi Atomic Cafessa on silloin tällöin kiinnostavia keikkoja.

- Kunstpark Ost (Ostbahnhof), jossa oli vielä 2001 ~50 eri baaria, klubia ja bilepaikkaa on kuollut ja kuopattu. Sen mukana myös legendaarinen DJ Hellin Ultraschall (snif) (http://www.ultraschall.com) ja mainio houseklubi KW-das Heizkraftwerk (http://www.kw-club.de). KW:n perintöä jatkaa Garden-klubi (http://www.thegardenclub.de).

Osa paikoista on siirtynyt vähän matkan päähän ja nimennyt itsensä Optimolwerkeksi. (http://www.optimolwerke.de/).

Levykaupat:

- Optimal, Kolosseumstr. 6. Kaupungin ehdoton ykkönen, loistava valikoima teknoa, housea, klassikoita ja harvinaisuuksia.

- Delirium (http://www.delirium.de) ja Parasound (http://www.parasound-munich.de) tulevat hyvinä kakkosina. Molemmat pienempiä kauppoja mutta hyvällä valikoimalla varustettuja. Löytyvät Münchner Freiheit -aseman lähistöltä.

- WOM Neuhauserstrassella on iso ja keskellä kaupunkia. Sisältää myös kohtuullisen valikoiman vinyylejä.

the Kunstpark Ost has gone into new ownership, and because of variousb new imposed regulations the Ultraschall is no more. It also is not DJ Hells club, DJ Hell owns the club Villa in Traunstein.

The owners of Ultraschall are currently working on a new club project, but it hasn't been launched yet.

Parasound has also closed, but the Occamstrasse and sorroundings are great for vinyl and clothes shopping. The best shop in Munich remains Optimal, just beware of the 50 yearold greek owner, he's the meanest salesman I have ever met ;)

As for Munich not being a technomekka... it's home of the Disko B, Gigolo, Payola, Parasound, etc. labels, and there a great illegal party scene - regulations of the city of Munich are just extremely strict and make it difficult to arrange parties properly, which is also the reason why Hells Villa club is located outside of Munich.

True. Several vinyl shops almost next to each other there.

But it's FAR outside. Not very easy to get there without a car. Of course, Deutsche Bahn is an option. One visit=OK, visiting every weekend=not OK.

Can you tell what is the main problem in arranging parties there? The clubs were open long enough, until 5 or 6, if I remember right. I thought the problem was only the lack of good venues and open-minded people. Common attitude towards parties is not so liberal (strict catholic South), that's true, but I didn't notice the effect of that on club regulations.

By the way, some legal outdoor happenings can be arranged every summer despite of that.

Not really new info here, just some comments.

it's mostly regulations made by the city of munich - it's apparently really difficult to put up a club outside of the kunstpark, and since it switched ownership, safety regulations and sponsorship reached new heights, to the point of the streets within the kunstpark being renamed to "coca cola street" etc., and the ultraschall team apparently had difficulty meeting the safety regulations while feeling less and less happy with the whole sorrounding "atmosphere".

really I'm just getting this info from one of the guys that ran ultraschall, and I remember reading dj hell saying similar things when he was scoping locations for his club - I believe he had some two to three different locations in munich he would've liked to set up the club in, but regulations where simply to difficult to meet apparently.

the villa is definitely quite a drive from munich, and if one plans on going there I recommend getting tickets ahead of time, since the capacity is fairly limited.

I don't think that hell was really directly involved in the ultraschall at any point, the ultraschall II spawned out of ultraschall which in turn spawned out of the ultraworld parties at the old riem airport property - one guy that was involved a lot was upstart, who of course runs disko b, which used to be dj hells label of choice - in fact, gigolo started as a sublabel of disko b as well.

15. elokuuta ja siitä pari vkoo eteenpäin. Asustan itseasiassa Augsburgissa eli noin tunnin matkan päässä Münchenistä, mutta eihän siellä mitään tapahdu - siksi siis Mynhheniin :)
