Mainstage :
Warp Brothers (Oliver Goedicke) (Bonnier / Eventwice, Germany)
The by now legendary Warp Brothers were founded in 1999 by the DJ's Oliver Goedicke and Jürgen Dohr.
It did not take long time and their first single Phatt Bass hit the German market and made it to the top 3 in several dance charts. Shortly after this they entered the European sales-charts wide up to #2. No wonder they draw attention to the music business with placing a solid techno-track in the sales-charts. The Warpies success is remarkable in the UK sales-charts: #9 and Top 10 positions in several sales -charts. In Denmark they were awarded with gold.
After their uplifting style flooded Europe, the wave swept over to the US, Canada, Australia and Japan. The style of Warp Brothers might be somehow compared to Prodigy or Chemical Brothers but the truth is that they created their own creative and unique sound.
To point out is their wicked DJ performance on venues in Plymouth (20.000 people), the Ministry of Sound World Tour in South Africa (10.000 people) where they ripped shit up. Further on they jetted to the U.S. to show up in L.A. (God's Kitchen, After Hour Power, Tekknoklub) and as resident DJs in New York's Webster Hall, Las Vegas Studio 54 and L.A. Tekknoclub where people went nuts when they dropped their skills on the set and blasted the speakers. Toyko was the latest strike where they had a great time.
Warp Brothers remixes for Norman Bass (How do you like Bass), Fragma (You are alive), Airheadz (Stanley...), Black Spider (Saved Your Life), Ayu (Still Alone), Dream (Get Over), Kriminal Elements (Take A Chance), Blizzard Brothers (Thunderstruck), JFK (Good God), Ultrasonics (Anihilating Rhythm) and many more filled floors world-wide.
The second single We Will Survive helped them to build up their position in international music business and was an excellent example for a perfect follow up single.
Beside their full production and DJ schedule they reached to establish their own label called Groove Trax Records. With massive releases like Norman Bass (How U Like Bass, No Good, Clap Your Hands), Mac & Mac (Wicked Wild) and Perfect Phase (Slammer Jammer) they try to keep the hard club sound alive! The guys are also responsible for many more projects and productions like Balloon (Technorocker, Monstersound), Dons (Drop The Gun, Sharp As A Knife, Pump Up The Jam), Brain Twins (Voice Of Buddah), Gat-Cha (Fuck Me I'm Famous), Full House (Scratchin ..) and also Norman Bass.
After returning from a DJ World-Tour and summer session on Ibiza they produced their exceptional 3rd single called Blast The Speakers and a LP called The Warp Factor.
After massive double a-side slammer Cokane/The Power meanwhile the fifth strike is out: Going Insane Warp Brothers feat. Red Monkey (ex Public Domain MC and part of Ultrasonics).
Although the Warp Brothers are friendly people they are in possession of a lethal weapon which is called Harder House... so watch out for their next steps!!!
