Dirt. That's everywhere. And dust. Especially when you're not vacuum cleaning enough. Everything seems broken, chaotic and ready to collapse, yet there's some kind of thin feeling, that keeps growing and growing until overflowing like a bath tub with too much water in it.

It's the everyday things that I put into my music. How hard they are to handle, the harder the music is to understand when listened afterwards. When there's no-one around to talk to all that dirt must go somewhere, and in to the songs it goes. My life is not polished, it's not nearly always even fun, it is now also not. But what it is always, it is genuine. At best I don't have a clue what happened to the song, or where did it come from.

I believe in accidents, I believe in sounds coming from outside, from an open window. I trust my bedroom's reverb, and I trust my broken guitar. All the best sounds come from my own recordings, from moments when I decide to insert kitchen utensils between the strings of an instrument and play notes that just do not exist.

Most of my music is written to the people I know or have known. We all change, usually for the worse.

CRC | www.myspace.com/harrisonfnord

c.jpg

CRC irrottaa kiinniruostuneet osat. Syrjäyttää kosteuden. Käynnistää kastuneet moottorit. Poistaa sähköhäiriöt. Voitelee. Poistaa vinkunat ja kitinät. Irrottaa jumiutuneet mekanismit. Suojaa metallipinnat kosteudelta, estää ruostumista ja hapettumista.

JUHO KAHILAINEN | www.myspace.com/juhokahilainen

jk.jpg

Juho has been pushing tracks for a long time. He played his first gig in 1997 and to be honest, not much has happened after that. The bastard might have been lucky to release some shots on BPitch Control, Initial Cuts, Frozen North Recordings and Prologue Music, but he is still doing the same stuff he did that time. We might ask him why is he still here? Normal people understand to stop when there is no progress.

Juho is a stubborn individual. As a musician his "career" might have been an anti-climax with a lot of effort and not much achievements, but is there something else he could do? The poor bugger is not much of an athlete. You couldn't imagine him as a model either. Let's face the facts: he is good enough to be a dj. Juho's problem is that he wants to be a bit more than that. He believes that making music will take him somewhere. So far it hasn't happened. Some people think it never will.

Do not feel sorry for him. He has chosen to live this way. It is possible that he even wrote this piece-of-shit text himself. Juho draws his inspiration from melacholy, depression and anxiety. The future is something to fear. It might be that this kind of self-pity and pathetic dystopian visions feed him as an artist. What a loser.

MONODER | www.myspace.com/monoder

mo.jpg

Monoder stands for dubbed-out rhythms and melodic textures combined with deep techno sound. It was year 2003 and the release Ikikieriö, when Jussi-Pekka Parikka (Frozen North Recordings) decided to use the alias Monoder for the first time. However, it wasn't intentional, but rather accidental that a track ended up being released under a pseudonym. Fiddling with beats in the productive playground of a studio environment, Jussi-Pekka discovered his alter ego and wanted it to stand out.

As the time passed by, Monoder started to live its own life. Having released under the labels such as Pakkas-Levyt, Statik Entertainment and Sinergy Networks, Monoder is already transforming into a trademark for impressive deep techno releases and remixes.

"Matti first discovered music when he heard his dad play many ABBA records.
From the unexceptional and undenied love towards Agneta he now tried to sound like ABBA but in ways only a true techno gear purist can understand. We all call him Agneta."
- Aki Latvamäki

RASMUS HEDLUND | www.myspace.com/rasmushedlund

r.jpg

Born in Pori, Finland, Rasmus first started testing out production of electronic music at the tender age of 15. Heavily influenced by early techno, electro and idm, he spent the first years learning to sequence on trackers and sampling everything around him. However, it wasn’t until a few years later when he decided to move over to hardware, and began collecting vintage analogue gear. It was essential to tweak these old synths, because it really helped him understand the basics of creating sounds. With the constant development of software sequencers, his arsenal of gear soon had to retire except for a few carefully selected items. Production varied over the years from hard monotonous techno to chilled rhythms and finally settling down to somewhere in between it all for his first solo EP release on US based label Iron Box Music in 2005 titled “Pacific”. The release received huge feedback all over. A few releases later on different labels, it was time to search for a steady homebase. In october 2007 a call was received from german label Resopal Schallware and two months later “Hidden structure” was released. Things took off and his third release on the label has just hit the market. Not getting enough kicks from dj’ing, Rasmus decided early in his career to only perform live with his own music. This decision hasn’t stopped him from performing all over Finland, Germany, Estonia, Sweden and Croatia. Right now he is working on more releases so stay tuned!

SAMULI KEMPPI | www.myspace.com/samulikemppi

sk.jpg

Samuli Kemppi is one of the key figures of finnish techno scene. Hard working producer and dj who is always breaking boundaries and delivering fresh mixture of times past and days yet to come. His recent releases on Pakkas Levyt and Ostgut has gained a lot of attention; doing something that is unique and stands out from the masses isn't so common these days. Already 5 EP's scheduled for 2009 and bookings around Europe will keep him busy. Keep your eyes on Samuli, he's coming on strong!

"These two hardcore pussylovers from the industrial city of Tampere
are the best kept secret of Finlands underground techno scene. Playing
live just once per year, strictly only when totally wasted, this show
is VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED by Jesus Fucking Christ himself.. Unless
you are some trance faggot, of course, then you better stay home and
wank with your mother."
