FREDRIK WILLBERG (Captain Heroin - Skithundrecords) 2018

Fredrik Willberg works with sound art blending improvised cinematic nightscapes, contemporary influences and field recordings . The range is dependant of the current levels of abstraction and material gathered.

The alter ego Captain Heroin is a long time companion (1999-The Ballad of Captain Heroin) that sticks to me, even if im sometimes doubtfull about the morale values carries. This is the reason why i see a certain amount of value in performing under my own given name.

The past works have been performed under heavy influences by Klaus Schulze and space. The timespan is around 40 minutes where moderate levels of concentration is required to get a sense of time passing by. There is no culmination, only the thin red line, as linearity is already in progress I see no point in trying put focus on either the start or end. I merely observe and point out certain aspects of time that I find interesting.
